Comme des Garçons Parfum "Sweet" Series 7

Hm hm. Thank you Johnny.
Actually one of the 28 samples I'll be getting is 2, so I will definitely reconsider.

I would like to report, I'm a huge fan of all things Comme, and have almost all their perfumes. I was recently in London and went to buy some of the sweet series, and as much as I wanted to, I just couldn't- they smell too much like cheap copies, which I love the idea of so much, but the actual smell burnt my nose. They really do smell like the most common cheap fragrances around.

I think its an amazing idea after all the exotic and unique scents they've been doing and have become known for, and often they are challenging and take a while to get used to, but these were very difficult to wear-especially as a male. The bottles, by the way, were breaking in store-around the top, and the print was rubbing off already, which all added to the cheap feeling. I loved the packaging in general.

So needless to say, great dissappointment on my part.

i couldnt agree more......the whole scent concept and the packaging is so OFF that i could nt believe that it could even be released for sale. ....and AM I THE ONLY one to notice that the butterfly shaped bottle "sticky cake" i think is a direct copy / lift off the ANNA SUI range........comme des garcons ripping off another designer's work...???.........WOW. .....what has fashion come to......i know my comments come a bit late but i only got to see the perfumes recently in london [ dover street ]

please ....has anyone seen the obvious resemblence ..NO...COPY of the anna sui perfume bottles ??? !!!

Yeah, the bottle is a dead ringer for Anna Sui's Love. But then, that fragrance was rather sub-par to me.

agreed 2

yeah satsuma ....u are being kind.....sub par is being rather kind......the whole series was uninspiring and simply awful.....and i still cant figure out the butterfly shaped bottle.......were they overruns of anna sui's bottles that were available on the cheap ..??..........???

I read that Comme found a manufactory in China where they still produce those glass bottles. Maybe those were simply in the range...? I don´t believe that Comme would ever do a copy of an Anna Sui bottle...!

surely polka dot .............the design is WAY too close to the Anna Sui bottle.....CDG may not copy ......but then they were probably too ignorant or is that too arrogant to know whats in the market ??........which ever its too ghastly for words....the bottle and the scent i mean.

I don´t think that they are too ignorant or arrogant, bearbrick. From what I know is that Rei is never looking to the left nor the right to see what the others are doing. She's just doing her own thing.

okok.....she is oblivious then ...aka unaware . but i dont mean to keep pursuing this matter....the butterfly bottle is way .WAY too close to the Anna Sui perfume....and thats just not on when its CDG doing it.
:ninja:

I think it doesn't matter. Might be that one of the bottles resembles an old Nina Ricci or Guerlain perfume. Just because those kitsch glass bottles have been used until the end of the Sixties (and are often still in use) until they the perfume industry started to design in a futurustic or modern way.

Anyway I do not like any of the Series 7 scents... :p
