Confirmed: The 65th Golden Globes Are Cancelled

So does that mean the press conference will still be aired?

It baffles me that even though there are no golden globes show, The gift lounges are still going on. All that money that had gone toward buying all those gifts and giving it for free to these z-list celebrities, could have gone towards the writers instead.

who's going to watch for news conference announcement of winners? lol. so lame.

I wonder if they will tell some winners ahead of time so they can talk...

like they did at the People's Choice Awards? oh GAWD, imagine? looks like it's going to be super lame-O. this writer's strike seriously shuttered all awards in 2008.

I'm so sad tonight knowing that there's no red carpet fashion to look forward to. Damn those studios and writers for not coming to an agreement!

This show was so depressing! But yay for Atonement winning!!

I'm glad Johnny won.

Nikki Blonsky said in an interview that getting nominated for a GG and then having it get canceled was like getting ready for prom and then having that get canceled...aww! It does suck for the newcomers that they don't get their night.
But the SAGS are soon. yay.

my Johnny won? :woot:

...for best what?

... i heard Angelina didn't win :(

i actually liked the whole press conference thing. it really made you realize how little awards they actually have.
the only disappointing part was that Johnny Depp won for once and I wasn't able to see him accept it.
