I literally wear mine every day. For me they are just an easy thing to chuck on(no pun intended ) with jeans. I have black ones and cream ones but the cream ones look too preppy, so I never wear them. I'm going to get these next- the sweatshop free fake ones! Maybe in red. I think you can buy them in Community Aid Abroad shops.

i think they're even better. I used to have converse when i was little until i found these in the shop. Less expensive and they don't wear down so easy.
I think i'm on to my sixth pair!!

I neither like clean converse, they look terrible completely new and white, but make them dirty on purpose is a bit pathetic (but I have to admit that the first days I had them I wore them all the time without minding where I was putting my feet and after 2 days they were like I had been wearing them for a couple of weeks.)

I used to wear them a lot ,when I was little.I remebered my aunt gave me a red pair of chucks as gift. I love them to death til I have a bigger size for shoes :-P they used to be so cheap but now 60€ for one pair....that's damn much if you compare it with prices before Nike owns Converse. I told my sister to bring me one pair from USA cheaper compare with here.

Everybody wears them in Paris ! It seems to me it's been part of the standard boho look of litterature students forever but recently the trend grew VERY fast.

Last Friday I saw a kid and his rich looking mom in a trendy shop buying a pair of them for an insane price... While you can have them new for 30€ at the flea market of Saint Ouen...

i like them -on others- but i wouldnt wear them, they dont match my style at all..

actually i agree with softgrey. i hate people who wear chucks that are not dirty and ripped and torn. it makes a siren go off in my head like "WANNABE!!!" "POSEUR!" and the sort. i don't wear sneakers very often but like to pair my ripped dark brown chucks with torn lacy pretty skirts!

but how do you make them dirty without damaging them?

I love my cucks...I have pink ones! lately I see ppl wearing two different ones...one blue and one red, or one black and one pink...

I don't really care if they're a trend or not. If they were the trendiest shoes in the world (which they are on the way to becoming) I'd still wear them. If they were considered the ugliest shoes in the world, I'd still wear them.

I own 5 pairs..I want to get the tourquise ones MK has and purple ones.
