Converse - The All-Things 'Converse Sneakers/Trainers' Thread

i hate that converse shoes has become huge trend but i still love them. i wear my yellow high-top shoes because they are so comfy and look good. i should buy low pair too but before that i want to have vans slip-in shoes.

I like them, I just think of them as classic shoes that have been around forever and I like thinking that some little kid in the 70s or something had them and now I wear them too :D I hate how it's much harder to find low ones in colors though, atleast here it is.

I like them too they are very comfortable I love my classic black converse and red and blue by John Varvatos

 hmmm ... i dunno
maybe b/c i got a pretty sparkly pink high-top
which has that plastic bit in front
i don't find it all that comfy
there's no support
the plastic bit has no stretch or give
and it's crazy overpriced...
it was a mad mad impulse b/c it looked so pretty & funky
can't wear it w/ skirts
& if there's a drop of rain, i've got wet feet...
so i hardly ever wear the thing

i regret getting the thing
just not for me
but oh so funky

I just bought some navy high-tops amd they look so good on her. She might get the yellow ones too

Converse

Converse has a lot of cool shoes besides chucks... but i feel that the only place you can get them is online...

nothing beats a pair of classic black chucks. I love mine.

Yeah, but have you checked out converse.com and all the other shoes they have beyond Chucks? nobody is wearing those and they are WAY cute!! This is just one of the pairs that i found on there - they are super comfy and everyone always asks where i got them.

I bought my all white chucks 2 weeks ago and I like them more and more.

At first sight they dont look like a pair of chucks and I think its why I like them. The ones with red/blue stripes give another look... its wierd

I LOVE my black chucks. Here they were really popular last year, especially with the ghetto kids, now they're not as trendy, but I still wear mine. Most cost about 40$ here. Unless they are two different colors.

The new all white Chucks are hot, not my style, but very cool...... Prep....... I'd def see someone with an "edge" *cough* like Jefferson Hack pulling them off..... Very Dior Homme-ish....

oh my, the white chucks is so glaring on my screen but I LIKE IT! I can't resist white shoes.

I have a pair of black and pink low tops. I wear them all the time. With certain skirts and dresses, they look cute and quirky. Plus, sometimes to class I want to wear a comfy skirt for a change of jeans but I need comfy shoes to trek across campus in.
I think they're classic shoes and in my book they'll never go out of style. I have a pair of my aunt's high tops that she had forever. I think they were grey. She was the hippie type so they're pretty dirt. I have them because she passed away and I always remember her wearing them, so I guess they have a high sentimal value for me.

i remember back a couple of years ago it was only the black or hip-hop peops that wore them at school. (then again i was only in highschool so maybe older peops wore them but i didn't notice)

Now EVERYONE wears them here and it makes me not want to wear them. its funny all the "alternate" "cool" people claim there dif and hate following trends, yet they all wear them. you can tell the people that wear them cuz they like them and those that wear them just cuz there cool.

I'm going to buy a pair of converse style trainers but from a Spanish Hight Street shop, I fell in love with them when I saw them, are like the classic hight tops but in checked tweed, cheviot or a similar material, and the sole is dark brown. They are a bit weird but I have to have them!

i think they look much better when they are 'falling apart'...
that's part of the aesthetic....
it's punk..it's rock n roll....it's dirrrrty.....:mowhawk:

oh how i agree- and also they go with everything, and i dont know, i dont like them because they are trendy, i've been wearing them since 2nd grade, they are possibly the only "trend" that i can stand to see everyone in my school wearing. when i get new ones i make my sister wear them to baseball practice mo they get dirrrrrty haha:shock: :ninja: :innocent:
