Really, is this food thing clarified somewhere? Why do they do this?

Regarding the UK edition, has anyone noticed how their covers are prone to damaging lately? I wanted to buy their September issue, but almost each copy I ran into had friction scratches all over the cover.

I find there's something very insidious about US Cosmo's use of food on their cover... like it's designed to appeal to people's inner impulse-buying compulsions, except these foodstuffs are always being held by women whose heads look too big for their bodies, so it's evident this consumption is for display purposes only.

It's like Cosmo's message of how to 'have it all' in life has been reduced to the magazine pretending to sell the secret of how you can have alcohol, pizza and the perfect body. It feels like they're only a few steps away from a coverline that reads "how to binge-eat according to your star sign and still look like a million dollars for less".

I suppose they could innocently argue that it's just a cover formula designed to set them apart from other magazines. When you think about it, nobody's eating on the cover of US Bazaar - and that's when you know how bad this is. Not even Bazaar would do this.

Unless Bazaar are saving it for December's cover theme.

No idea who she is, but glad the subject isn't posing with food yet again. Given how wholesome she looks I imagine they'd have gotten a lot of flak for shooting her with food.

Ok cover, but instantly forgettable and not very original. Getting Nicki Minaj vibes.

That's a must have issue. Kudos to Cosmo UK for introducing diverse cover subjects like him and Tess Holliday.

I don't watch the show, don't know this guy, but that cover is ugly.
But it is Cosmo!??

I think it's very much UK Cosmo in terms of style. Not to my taste either, if you look at it at face value it looks like a grown man recreating some generic Hillary Duff rom-com poster (during her Lizzie McGuire days.)

BUT....this cover will probably trend within the next few hours because it's Jonathan, because it's World Aids month, and because it's a solo male on the cover of Cosmo. From that point, I can't hate on this. Whether it will translate into sales and not just likes and shares, I'm not too sure.

Wish her team promoted her music more, but who am I... hope she doesn’t become a Tinashe.

It's a mystery to me how Tinashe's career as a whole isn't big because she's got the full package. talent, musical style, collabs, looks, personality. How do we not see her and Teyana on covers!?!
They must've said no to someone very high up, because it makes no sense to me.
