Outside of Manolo and Louboutin, Pierre Hardy and Bruno Frisoni who are the young emerging shoe Designers that are coming on strong ,in your opinion, as the front runners of the new garde?

I have come across a young designer, Courtney Crawford, that I have taking a liking to that I have recently seen and I will post some of his pictures that I received from his showroom of his fall 07 for comments.

I know that his spring collections are at places like Saks 5th Avenue in the States and Browns and Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge in London.

flyboy, thanks for posting this. her shoes are very interesting, they seem geared towards eveningwear but I could see wearing them with denim easily.

one thing though, please post picture credits.

Picture Credits: Seventh House PR and you have find out more about him and picture of other shoes on his website www.courtneycrawford.com

The pirate boots you posted are wonderful! Here is the link to his website: www.courtneycrawford.com. :flower:

And recent news from 23 April 2007 from http://rodonline.typepad.com/rodonline/2007/04/shoe_designer_c.html:

Paper, the edgy New York-based fashion and industry monthly, publishes their tenth "Beautiful People" issue in the April edition. The first BP issue was in 1998 and this makes their tenth such exercise; it's always an interesting and eclectic list, certainly much less commercial-driven, bland or predictable than the annual list at People.

One of the standouts on the Paper's 2007 "Beautiful People" list is Courtney Crawford, the stunning shoe designer, pin-up boy and renaissance man. Besides being heralded as the next Manolo Blahnik, Courtney has also made a name for himself as an amateur boxer and competitive bodybuilder. He also writes children's stories—just for fun.
"I'm complex," admits the 27-year-old St. Louis native, who graduated from college before attending FIT. He designs his shoes to be equally complicated. "I want them to be repulsively attractive," he says with a gooey smile.
Crawford only began his label in 2004, but, thanks to bold designs and luxe fabrics, he has become a favorite protégé of André Leon Talley and Karl Lagerfeld. And just in case you still can't place Crawford's shoes ... think of Mariah Carey and the Emancipation of Mimi" tour. Everything single shoe Mariah wore ... was designed by Courtney Crawford.

These shoes balance between ugly and unique. His FW06 collection, however, is definitely more of the former (pictures are available on courtneycrawford.com).

I liked the red ones too. I checked out his website and it seems that only last season is up....I am interested to see what else he has to offer.
