Wasn't there a rumor a while back that Anna wanted Rihanna for a Vogue cover, but changed her mind when she found out about some nude photos Rihanna had done? Am I crazy or did that happen? haha

I remember that...she was still with Chris Brown. I know in one pic, he had her underwear on his head. Now, obviously, Ri's image has changed a lot due to circumstances out of her control over the past three years.

I think in the absence of people such as Beyonce, Rihanna seems like a good option in musician terms. Lady GaGa on March and then Rihanna on another cover. I think she's certainly more to Anna's/US Vogue's tastes in her latest incarnation. With that awful half shaved try hard hair cut gone she really is looking quite beautiful. Although I'm just not sure we'd see that dyed red hair turn up on a Vogue cover personally..

^ I agree, Beyonce was on April issue as well, so she might score that one, i wouldnt be surprised. But the way i see it; it all makes sense to have these girls on the cover! This is coming from someone who does not listen to her or Gaga's music (although i can hardly escape it these days, but thats another matter altogether). I mean, they are both way more relevant at the moment, than any "movie star" they usually feature! Just few years ago US Vogue looked like it was stuck in a different era, with all these actresses no one, honestly, cares about that much.

And now Wintour has finally moved on, she is using new starlets like Williams, McAdams, Stweart, and now even big music superstars, a change has come. I welcome it, even if i aint that much into them. Will take them over another boring Kidman.etc cover spread any day.

I hope they do them both justice, i actually LOVED Gwen Stefnai's cover from years ago, it was beautiful.

She's nominated for a Globe this Sunday, right..? I think if she wins there, and the amount of coverage she gets from her red carpet appearance will make a difference. If she wins, I have no doubt she'll turn up on Marie/InStyle at some point, maybe before moving onto the higher fashion ones.

The May issue of Vogue US is The Urban and Party Elegance issue. I could see Rihanna being on it rather then the Shape issue cover.

Nothing about GQ US Feb.? I know Britney is March. With UK and Germany Feb. issues being VS related, I wouldn't be surprised if Adriana was on a cover this year. If not Feb. then April. She did have the best selling issues of their years. But then again, this would be too good to be true.
