Lorraine Candy tweeted that the July cover of Elle UK was a supermodel.

Praying for Karolina Kurkova. Her cover from February 2008 still remains a favourite of mine. What happened to Lorraine being obsessed with her?

I'm all for seeing models on the cover of magazines. But I could do without another Elle cover with Helena, I mean I get her appeal.. she just always looks the same. Obviously that's not down to herself on shoots, it's mostly the styling and direction. But the prospect doesn't excite me, one bit.

well Loraine's msgs are a bit confusing... cos at one point she says the most beautiful woman on the planet which Rosie is usually called... then she says a supermodel which Rosie isn't so i don''t know;-) Scott Lipps obviously refused confirming my suggestion regarding Helena + Elle... so we'll see...

I honestly appreciate your opinion but Helena has always been UK ELLE's favourite and generally ELLE used to work with her a lot. She has been featured on different ELLE edition more than any other model (more than 100 covers) and holds the record for UK ELLE too (19 times exc supplement). So I guess there is some history. Although they have not worked with her for 10 years before 2010.

If we look through her work for ELLE starting from 1991 or if you are generally familiar with Helena's work from 90's (esp for Vogue UK, US, Italia or Paris), etc, i think it will be rather hard to agree with your statement that she looks the same all the time. I think there is a very little number of models who actually have been subjected to quite as many image changes as she was. Anyway...

For me, Rosie is a number one sex-bomb supermodel in terms of the words her PR team pay some parts of the media to produce - and gosh, they are getting results - but if the cover is attractive enough, I will not mind what got her there, her profile has been built up and she is having her moment, and I did like her UK Vogue appearance.

I imagine someone like yourself to know Helena's body of work, I'm not familiar with her portfolio. So I can't exactly make a heavy judgement on her ability to adapt when shooting. But with UK Elle's aesthetic, I doubt they could top January 2011, that's all I was getting across. I'm willing to be proved wrong, and I hope I am.. because like I said, I'm all for models being on the cover of fashion magazines.

And I totally missed the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley post, I hope Elle's went all out bombshell.

I think Rosie will get the July issue... I agree, she's on her peak rite now, and to make it more make sense, her Transformers movie will be out this July. Well I hope Elle will portrayed her perfectly for the cover and ed.
