I complete agree with the idea that it's very strange that Thandie Newton has not yet appeared on the cover of UK Vogue - especially when you consider she long ago made the covers of both Tatler and Harpers & Queen (see that one attached below). She's an accomplished actress, with a body for fashion - the perfect combination. She's not my favourite actress, but hell, I would welcome the focus on a different face, and there's a lot Vogue could do with her.

Anyway i meant Hilary Clinton of course,sorry for not writing her full name,i thought it was clear who i meant!I think her cover was great,Condolezza Rice would rock on the cover aswell.
I totaly agree that Oprah at the moment should get another cover.

there already was a big feature on condi rice just a few months ago in vogue.

i would not be surprised if there was a vogue cover next year with hillary during primary time.

there already was a big feature on condi rice just a few months ago in vogue.

i would not be surprised if there was a vogue cover next year with hillary during primary time.

A feature inside is one thing but what about a cover. She is considered one of the most, if not THE most powerful woman in american politics. It's like come on!

Bloody hell, I'd rather have Victoria Beckham on the cover of a Bazaar, at least she gets people talking about what she wears, and she's forged fashion relationships with a number of designers. Whether you think she's got good dress sense or is simply in total bad taste, she's nothing less than lively. She gets people going.

Katie Holmes, on the other hand... Beautiful as she may be, I don't need a magazine cover to be an aid to sleep.

So true,she would be a valid choice for the cover because of many things.
That would be just great but i guess vapid actresses and their affairs are more appealing for some reason.

Lucy i agree,we can definitely expect Hilary to get another cover during elections.And she should,i just wonder if she actually wins,will she be reday to work with Vogue again or will she think its suddenly not appropriate since she would be the President.
It would be great to see President of United States on the cover of Vogue though.B)

Yes there was and i enjoyed it a lot,just like her feature in 2001,October issue with that great shot by Annie,of her sitting next to the Steinway grand,her parents gave her.....That shot would make an amazing cover.I really like Julia Reeds articles on Politics and sometimes i dont agree with her but i think she is a great contributor to Vogue.


Ok so since we are mentioning Katie Holmes on the upcoming issue of HB.
What do you guys think about celebs getting the covers despite not having any work to promote?
How weird is that?No,Britney,Brooke,Demi being pregnant is not the sufficient reason.
