Anyhow, last night I found a Sunday Times newspaper supplement from Feb 2006 that had an interview with Thandie Newton, who said she'd actually been lined up to feature on the front of UK Vogue around the time when she received a $6m offer to appear in Charlies Angels. She said when she turned that down (for family reasons) Vogue never called back.

I guess they didn't try too hard to get her back.

Not that it'll rock anyone's world, but I saw a tiny ad for the upcoming UK Harper's Bazaar March 2007 in The Times at the weekend, and I think it was Naomi Watts on the cover.

"The strong March issue is a direct result of the energy around Vanity Fair," said Menicheschi. "It's really about our circulation, which is at its highest ever, and the fact that our groundbreaking editorial plays an enormous role in the culture." The Hollywood issue has a total of 500 pages and the cover features funnymen Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Chris Rock and Jack Black. It remains to be seen if the comedic foursome has the chops to beat last year's cover with a naked Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley and (clothed) Tom Ford.

(might be wrong since only had a quick glimpse), but whatever happened to gilles bensimon hand picking rachel mcadams to wear the couture on the march cover.... i am sure i heard that somewhere...

I just saw the vanity fair portfolio. it is a film noir-esque set of photos. it is actually not bad, though goes away from the portfolios we're used to, since every photograph has the same mood and ambiance. it stars a lot of the usual suspects> conelly, winslet, dunst, cruz, affleck, downey, willis, stallone... i guess i'll wait for the cover.

^There were rumors about Scarlett Johansson. And Jennifer Hudson was photographed by Annie L. and is definitely going to be featured in the mag for the Shape Issue, but we don't know if she has the cover or not.

Less of a rumour and more of a fact, as it's been on sale for two days, but the March 2007 cover of Tatler goes to Anne Hathaway. I haven't bought it yet (and done the review) as I've just sent off a subscription form, and it's always the way, that they'll commence the subscription by sending you the issue that you just bought in the shop.
