^^I know what you mean, in my eye she isn't and I think Thandie deserves it more, but for the general public of US Vogue Kate is aceleb. and I think that more people know who Kate is compared to Thandie.

I definielty dont agree with that,no way is Kate more recognizable to Us Vogue readers than Thandie Newton.Specially since Newton has been featured many times before in the mag,and yet has never gotten the cover.

Who even cares about US Vogue? It's the least inventive and interesting magazine among all the Vogues, heck, among -all- fashion magazines. I'm sure Albanian Vogue is more interesting (if there exists one) ..

^^I do and buy it all the time,but thats beside the point,i was pointing out how US Vogue readilly gives covers to bland new(read>white)starlets,and then there are people like Thandie who has a great style and its not the same game.........

What kills me is that Vogue US is still presented to the general public as the fashion bible, and the only magazine that can make or break fashion models... That was true a few years ago, but now it's just one of them... The only influence Vogue US has on a model's career is thanks to Meisel

I think the problem of the US Vogue is that, giving cover to celebrities of making models like Aggy think they are some kind of fashion icon, as I said once here, Celebrities that appears on Vogue (cover or inside content) start thinking they're fashion icons

True.. many models make it without US Vogue. Look at Lara.. She was never featured in US Vogue, and still she does it great!

I wouldn't say because of the size of the country, Brazil is the biggest Latin America country and Vogue stills a elite magazine here, I still think it's because of the celebrities
