Cover Rumor Thread

Does anyone know what happened to Gisele's shoot last year with Testino in Rio?

Just checked VP's 2016 sales, and Luna Bijl's August cover with the pink fur turned the most sales not only in France, but also worldwide. I expect we'll see her again this year.

The worst? Lucky Blue and Lottie Moss!

That cover is 80s 100%. No wonder Alt is consistent with that direction.

Ophélie Guillermand shooting for Elle UK today. Maybe for the cover?

No surprise there, and do you have the full sale ranking list? I'm wondering Gigi cover's performance. Thanks a lot~

Natasha Poly, Isabeli, Eniko, Toni Garrn and Jourdan Dunn are with Carine at the Bahamas, any guess??

^I'm positive it's for a swimwear campaign, not a magazine shoot. Natasha tagged the company in one of her Instagram stories yesterday!

They are shooting for Solid & Striped
Hailey Clauson, Lily Aldrigde, Barbara Palvin & Jessica Hart are part of the cast as well

Based on excepts from Anna's BoF exclusive, it sounds to me like it will be Ivanka who will get the first Vogue cover under her father's term. Not Melania. Anna implicitly stated that they have no Melania cover or feature planned, but she was rather vague about Ivanka. She stated that Ivanka has had 'a long standing history with the magazine (Vogue)'.

I suppose in theory it's much easier to sell Ivanka to the public because of her active role in her father's campaign and her recent women's endeavours. Designers only said they wouldn't dress her stepmother, not her, so Anna will certainly hold them to that.

Melissa Rivers won't be impressed though!

If she has landed a cover, you can be sure she's made certain that pieces from her line will feature. I almost want to say I don't mind seeing Ivanka on the cover, she can't help who her father is but then reality and common sense kicks in and says actually, she's worse. She goes along with it, simply because he is her father.

This actually makes it worse for me. If you're gonna do it, have the balls to go all in. I am in no way encouraging them to do it, but its more insulting to think that they believe they'd get a free pass if it were Ivanka not Melania. No. Whatever happened to the "long standing tradition of First Ladies"?

^And I do agree, she's worse. She actually works for him.

Imagine if her father does something controversial (policy wise) and it coincides with Ivanka's cover. Imagine the implied endorsement that people would see and the backlash the magazine would receive. Lol, some risky business.

I see huge backlash for putting Ivanka on the cover. And i am so ready for it. I'm gonna be spitting gasoline.

Vogue US turned into pure trash

TIME.COM
A new report by a watchdog group found the Chinese knitting factory used by a company that makes clothing for Ivanka Trump's brand has poor conditions and pay, with workers putting in up to 60 hours a week for wages of about $62 weekly.

Grace Elizabeth is on the preview for the June issue of Vogue Japan shot by Patrick Demarchelier, I think she might get the cover.

What long standing tradition? Two first ladies getting the cover of Vogue isn't a tradition.

There was a post here before, not sure if its deleted already, of some source saying that it's a tradition for Vogue to cover First Ladies. Hence, the quotation.

Though, true, 2 is not s tradition

I have always felt that Melania was not going to get a US vogue cover... even Ivanka will be a long shot IMO. If you listen to Anna's rhetoric about the country being on "hard times" etc... she is not going to support this administration.
Ivanka has a history with American Vogue, in fact she helped her younger sister score an internship there as a college student but I don't see a cover, maybe a nice feature inside about her "women who work" agenda but thats all.

Has anyone heard anything about what we can expect for the June issue of Vanity Fair? Annie Leibovitz apparently did photography for Star Wars: The Last Jedi on location in Ireland with Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and Mark Hamill last year (I expect she also photographed the other lead actors separately), and the question is whether that's going to be the cover for the June issue of Vanity Fair (the TFA cover shoot was in the June 2015 issue, and was released online on 4 May, which is Star Wars Day).
