No Naomi? Was the first question I asked when I saw the cover? Not only all these models are white but also British. Was the past of British Vogue created by British models only? This is shameful. If they wanted to go with Brits only then Naomi should have been in the centre of that cover. I am not even such a big fan of her but it doesn't feel right. She is one of the greatest models of all times!!!

Yikes. What a terrible way to say goodbye from Alexandra. If she were able to produce a cover as radiant and delightful as some of her best years, I would remember her for the good part of her work. But the hideous styling, lack of creativity and weakness of posing (I really think no-one on that cover looks nearly good) will make me remember her for the British Vogue we all complained of these last years: monotonous, dull and uninspiring.

And agree with all of you guys: not putting Naomi doesn't make sense. If you ask any person who the biggest model is, they say Naomi. My dad doesn't know anything about fashion (and he doesn't care for it) but there's one model, only one model he knows; and that's Naomi Campbell. Why? Because she's a LEGEND. And I don't care if Edward is going to put her. It's the lamest excuse because it's obvious that Kate will be on the cover again and again with Edward as well.
I can't wait for him to take over.

I think UK Vogue decided not to work with Naomi after a certain point, due to her chronic lateness and other antics, so I'm more surprised that someone like Amber Valletta isn't the fifth face.

^ Yes, this is obv. the reason. In last year documentary, they showed that Naomi was supposed to be a part of the 100th anniversary issue, but never came on set for her shoot....

I think the idea here was to have Brit models only here, so Amber was probably not considered for it. But it would have been cool to include less expected girls, like Erin O'Connor, Karen Elson, Agyness Deyn... i'm not even a massive fan of them but a little change doesn't hurt !

Alexa Chung was rumored to have scored the September cover of British Harper's Bazaar, right? A shame they'd break Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's streak of landing the September cover for the fourth year running. Rosie was pregnant around the time the September cover would've been shot, she's now since given birth and I doubt they would've done a September cover story full of head shots.

Must confess that I wouldn't have minded seeing Rosie for the fourth time running...

British Vogue did indeed make a decision to not work with Naomi due to her awful antics but it is my understanding, I can't say how valid the source was mind, that Naomi was asked for the cover and declined. I imagine she knew for certain that a solo cover was in store with Edward.

I'm surprised to see Naomi's name mentioned for this cover. Naomi never had a relationship with this magazine, so for me it wouldn't ring true to see her book Alexandra's last cover.
The 'British models' term in this case is just a way to cloak Alexandra and her team's pets. And to some extent I can even tolerate that. How different is this to Anna's obsession with Kendall & Gigi, or the eternal Natasha, Daria, Lara edits for Alt? The selection of these women have nothing to do with merit. If that's the case then Nora and Jean shouldn't be here.

I'm glad Jean finally booked a British Vogue cover, though it's a shame it had to be shared. But Venetia likes her so I'm sure she'll get her OG cover. Kate Moss is the only winner in this entire brouhaha. She didn't get sacked and most likely will continue to book the cover.

Didn't they move the Style Issue to Oct? Last year it was, randomly, Bruce S! So i won't expect much, but would be cool if they did a cover story on Dontella, with Murphy's show getting press.etc But doubt it. Maybe they end up with a model ala Bella or Kendall.

Surprised Charlize just got W, wonder if she might show up on Sept VF!

So annoying they made Best Dressed separate from the Style Issue, makes no sense!

Donatella did have talks with Murphy & Penelope and it seems they respected her wishes not to have her kids as part of the story. And yeah Feud was great. Kidman would make sense for VF Sept. If it ends up Emily, and Insta models it will be so bad, and predictable!
