Thanks for the info, Dodencebt & Miss D! That's probably how he got Penelope on board, who I think will definitely book covers around the release time.

I'm just glad VF is done with their Jackie, Marilyn, and JFK covers. Over the last year they had mainly new faces. Brie, Alicia, Margot, Chris H, Benedict. They should just keep going with that. That said, Nicole is due for a cover. Her last one was in December 2013.

I actually think that Celine's Instagram/Vogue.com online feature is a precursor to the main cover that's soon to happen. As we can all see, Vogue is gearing their focus towards the younger generation, so maybe having her in everyone's Instagram is their way of "introducing" her to the kids. It can all be a strategy.

Come to think of it, why would Celine, an unarguable legend, agree to a mere online feature? And why go all out for an online feature?

Or maybe they're saying it's an online feature just to throw us all off, but in reality, it's for a cover (October)?

I had heard someone was working on a Miley shoot, but hopefully it isn't the September cover. Who knows. Elle is actually reduced on newstands here to £2.99. I've not seen Elle offer a reduction on cover price in a really long time.
