It's quite shocking that US HB is doing a double issue now, they must have been hit hard in the past year to do that, how sad, but then with the covers they had, not much of a surprise.

The Australian Vogue cover with Nicole, is soo insipid!

And they used Alexa Chung on their cover at a time when it seemed totally appropriate - if the news is correct, UK Vogue have apparently decided to use her for a March cover at a time when there's controversy about her - and they're the bloody magazine that made such a fuss about sizing recently, what with Alexandra Shulman's 'letter to designers'. Make up your mind as to what you're promoting! Or are we going to get someone else on the March cover at short notice?

The point is, there was a great time to get hold of Alexa and do a cover. Bazaar did it effortlessly, but Vogue seems to have itself in a bit of a bind where the cover choice who'll ensure the issue sells, is a popular demonstration of something they spoke out about last year.

Yeah well Shulman and Vogue are known hypocrites, because there is always a conflict with what they say, would like to present, and what they actually contribute in the end, its all contradictory, and thus i dismiss most of their efforts at making any sort of stand, because it comess false in my eyes.

As for Chung for the March cover, haha what a joke, yet again UK Vogue late to the party, ELLE and Bazaar already featured her on the cover, when she was actually hot and "of the moment". Now that her show has been canceled...its simply a bad timing, not making much sense to me. And i very much doubt they are going to do anything exciting with her for the cover.

I find it a little alarming that a major US magazine like Bazaar would decide to reduce its frequency, part of me wants them to fight instead, and force their way to success, and really make the effort to produce truly stunning issues.

On the other hand, there are plenty of magazines in other sectors which have decided to combine issues in the current climate, maybe it makes short-term economic sense - but it feels like the start of a slippery slope, this decision to reduce your output.
