This Sunday should see The Sunday Times do another bumper edition of Style Magazine, the last edition had Lily Donaldson on the cover, and I think Yasmin LeBon had an ed as well? So fingers crossed we get another great model cover.

The discussion in Model Casting thread the other day about KK doing a US Vogue cover at 16 convinced me that it's probably the other KK for the cover this time. I don't know why, I just see so many similarities.

I wouldn't mind Karolina Kurkova, but she really isn't what she used to be, unfortunately. I think Gisele is the better bet.

that seems like the perfect argument for gisele to be on the 'age' issue, not the shape issue...
she's in her 30s, life has changed dramatically/marriage/baby, getting involved in charitable organizations, etc.
it's what the age issue was made for (see kate moss' age issue cover)

my odds are still on lara, daria or doutzen...karolina kurkova would make me happy as well...
i will scream if it's any of the following: kate, cindy, christy, natalia v.

vogue's single model covers are typically their lowest newsstand sellers, so it's more a win for us...

I do agree with your point. It is very valid. Though I could easily see Gisele on April's issue (post-pregnancy supermodel has body/shape issue written allover it ), she would make even more sense on August's Age issue, seeing as she is now a mature married mother. If we don't see her on April's cover, then I think she is the frontrunner for August. I don't think Anna can ignore the fact that Gisele just had a kid and that her life is changing, especially seeing as she was Anna's favorite back in the day and that she is the rare type of model who can really sell a magazine, one of the main things Anna is concerned with when she chooses her cover subjects, or so it seems.

I HONESTLY cannot see Karolina on the cover of Vogue at all.

^I can't either. There is nothing current or relevant about her at all, to be blatantly honest. I think she is a fantastic model and seriously made an impact on fashion back in the beginning of the Noughties, but she unfortunately does not have the same power as someone like Gisele, Natalia, or Daria. I think it is more plausible that we would see Karlie Kloss on the cover before Karolina, and that is saying a lot.
