Cover Rumor Thread

Not sure about the cover, but Vogue Paris (next issue) will feature Marie-Amélie, inside...I'm a little vague on it.

here's my list again of the movies coming out between mid-august and early october, according to imdb.com...

julia stiles (the bourne ultimatum, already appeared on cosmo)
claire danes (stardust)
jessica alba (good luck chuck with dane cook and the ten)
mischa barton (virgin territory with hayden christensen)
mandy moore (dedication with billy crudrup)
monica bellucci (shoot em up with clive owen)
scarlett johansson (nanny diaries)
naomi watts (eastern promises with viggo mortensen)
jodie foster (the brave one with terrence howard)
milla jovovich (resident evil extinction)
charlize theron (in the valley of elah with tommy lee jones)
jennifer garner (the kingdom with jamie foxx)
cate blanchett (the golden age with clive owen)
nicole kidman (margot at the wedding with jennifer jason leigh, the invasion)

kiera knightley's silk doesn't come out until late october and nicole kidman's the golden compass comes out in december...
natalie portman's 2 movies come out near the end of the year...

I'd really like to see Raquel in a Vogue Paris cover, she has a new editorial there every month!

Julia Stiles, Claire Danes and Charlize would all be a breath of fresh air for Vogue...

I love Cate Blanchett but a third cover for her is pushing it. I would hope Anna wouldn't dare put Scarlett and Kiera on the cover twice in less than a year.

If Cate Blanchett gets the cover it would be her fourth
July 2000
December 2004
November 2006

She's already put Keira Knightley on in less than a year
December 2005 & May 2006 & then she put her again in barely less than a year with June 2007

:flower:

Told you about Jessica Alba..
I'd love Jodie Foster to get anything, she's great!

Thanks for the list kimair. It would be great if September went to a model, but I wouldn't mind seeing Charlize Theron or Mandy Moore. ^_^

Amanda Bynes would be great as well, but she's one of my favorites, so I'm a bit biased. :p

More about Conde Nast in India

Condé Nast to expand in India
By Joe Leahy in Mumbai
Published: July 30 2007

Condé Nast is ready to follow the September launch of the Indian edition of Vogue with other upmarket titles as the global fashion and luxury retail industry looks to cash in on the country’s growing affluence.
The publisher is seeking or has obtained regulatory approval for magazines such as Glamour, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller, Vanity Fair and niche publications such as Wired, the technology-focused magazine.
“We’d like to get the Vogue launch right first and soon after that start kicking off some of these other launches,” said Alex Kuruvilla, managing director of Condé Nast India.
India is emerging as one of the world’s biggest “millionaire factories”, with a study by Cap Gemini and Merrill Lynch showing it was second only to Singapore in terms of the growth in the number of people with net assets of $1m or more.
But the luxury retail industry still faces hurdles in India from a lingering cultural and political aversion to conspicuous displays of wealth, with many people still living in poverty. It also faces challenges from high taxes and a lack of suitable malls for luxury retailers.
Mr Kuruvilla said Vogue would launch its first edition with an October cover date on September 22 with a target print run of 50,000 copies, taking on titles such as Elle, L’Officiel and local magazine Verve. But he said these magazines had targeted a middle-market audience, while Vogue was looking to cater for the new class of high-net worth consumers emerging in India.
He said the magazine was expecting advertising yields of four to five times the existing competition and to capture 50-60 per cent market share of fashion-related advertising revenue in the first year.
In China, Vogue broke even in its first year, capitalising on the rise in the affluent classes. “I don’t think we’d be too far behind in terms of financial achievements albeit with a smaller model,” Mr Kuruvilla said of the Indian operation.
The launch of Vogue follows the entry into India of luxury retailers, such as Ermenegildo Zegna, the high-end men’s wear company, and Hermès, the luxury goods maker.
Mr Kuruvilla said India’s luxury retail market was heading for a “tipping point”. It was only a matter of time before “it all explodes into a combination of the purchasing power, fuelled by mall access points and, most importantly, by the fact that there are so many of these luxury players coming in right now”.

cross claire danes off the list as a september vogue/bazaar possibility as she's on the cover of us glamour...

Found online, an article from a Jamaican newspaper, with some info about possible content in Vogue Italia September, in an article about male model Oraine Barratt:

“For Italian Vogue, Oraine was shot for a multispread page by the famous photographer Steven Meisel. Oraine's shoot, which spans over 20 pages, will be published in September's edition.

Working with Meisel was an honour for Oraine, who described the whole experience as fantastic. From the reactions Oraine got from Meisel, he could tell the photographer liked his work.

The extensive shoot, which took place over three days in New York City, featured Oraine alongside models Agyness, Julia and Raquel. "It was a great experience working with these top models. The legacy of Italian Vogue and shooting with greats such as Steven (Meisel) will have a huge impact on my career," says Oraine.

According to a press release from Pulse, the model will also be doing a shoot for French Vogue. The release said: "A few weeks ago, Mario Testino, another globally acclaimed superstar photographer, placed him on option for French Vogue, a shoot which is also quite likely to happen."

Barrett's Italian Vogue spread comes on the heels of another exciting project, shooting the latest Baby Phat campaign in L.A. for hip hop diva Kimora Lee Simmons. Barrett stated that Kimora was at the shoot and it was a huge deal for him.”

Agyness, Julia and Raquel - one of these will be on the cover of september?

I think Julia - because he gave Adina a comeback cover, and julia stars alongside adina in a campaign shot by meisel himself!

^ that makes sense !

But seriously, if Julia gets it, i'll ***********... don't get me wrong: i like her, and i even used to love her -she was in my top5 a year ago- but i don't think she particularly deserves that big of a come back... being in an ed in the september issue of Vogue Italia is already hard to swallow when nothing happens to Eugenia, who was one of Meisel's favourites back in the days and much more interesting in pictures than Julia IMO... and yes, I totally say that out of jealousy !

Well, I don't mind them being in editorial, but I'd like to think the cover itself will bring us something new. I don't think I could cope with another Agyness cover, unless something new was happening with her hair.
