As always good point Tigerrouge, maybe they are, and i think US Vogue definietly is in need of spicing things up.I like seeing more than one person on the cover, i think that Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford was such a beautiful and simple cover,i love it still. And if the clean-living yet unstylish Britney of "back then" could get a cover, then putting Beyonce on the cover would be no different.
In terms of cover trends, I note that W has been going for the new formula of "girl and guy" covers, and with the news of Gisele and the sportsman, I was wondering if US Vogue is going to pick up on that as well... sure, they've had girl-and-guy covers in the past, but so infrequently, we remember them as an event. Could we be seeing more of them?

There is no way you can call Spice Girls mediocre(their talents yes,not their achievements)stars. At that time which was in 1997 Spice Girls were on peak of their fame and they were in huge demand...

No its not, it happens quite often, most of the time the actor is accompanied by a model in the ed like Eric Bana with Gisele or Hayden Christensen with Karolina and Jake Gyllenhaal with Daria to name a few examples.Woah, Jamie Bell for Vogue? That's pretty weird for an actor to be appear in Vogue, no?

NOT JUST BOURBON STREET: News magazines have thoroughly brought the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina's devastation on New Orleans to life, but W wanted to showcase the people who embody the lively spirit of the Big Easy in a 60-page photo essay for its April issue. Photographer Bruce Weber, along with stylist Karl Templer (who is said to be in talks to join Interview as creative director), shot supermodel Karen Elson and New Orleans' restaurateurs, musicians and otherwise colorful personalities that have rarely been featured in stories about the city. "Obviously, Katrina is and always will be a part of the history and future of New Orleans," said W creative director Dennis Freedman, of the shoot. "The point of the story is to show people who haven't been spotlighted in the media in the past." Among those shot were New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees; legendary former quarterback Archie Manning, father to the NFL's Eli and Peyton; chef Leah Chase, and students at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. "[Weber] is the photographer who best captures the humanity and personality and the heart and soul of a person," added Freedman. Weber seems to be a fan of Southern souls: the photographer also shot a portfolio of Mississippi for W in 1997.

NEW YORK — LeBron James is striking a pose in April's Vogue, which features the NBA star and supermodel Gisele Bundchen on the cover.
Bundchen, who stands 5-foot-11, wasn't intimated by James' 6-foot-8, 350-pound frame. "He doesn't really make you feel small, even though he is big," she says in the magazine.
"I think my leg is like the size of his shoe," she adds.
The duo is one of several athlete-model pairings in the magazine's annual shape issue. It's only the third time a man has appeared on a Vogue cover, with James following in the footsteps of Richard Gere, who appeared with Cindy Crawford in 1992, and George Clooney, who also appeared with Bundchen in 2000.
The pairing of the All-Star forward and the runway icon was shot in January by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz in James' hometown of Akron, Ohio. Others inside the new issue include swimmer Michael Phelps with Caroline Trentini, snowboarder Shaun White with Daria Werbowy; and speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno with Doutzen Kroes.
They all talk about their bodies - and each other's.
Model Raquel Zimmermann (5-foot-10) told discus thrower Jared Rome that he wasn't as super-sized as she was expecting.
"You're not as tall as I thought you'd be," responds the 6-foot-tall Rome, who weighs 310 pounds and was appears to lift Zimmermann with one arm in a photo.
