Part of me wonders if the cast of Nine WILL be on the October cover after all?
It's been so quiet regarding this issue...but it would make sense if Nicole or the rest of the cast had the cover as we heard about the shoot months ago. It would hardly makes news again.
Just a thought...

^ Agree. Vogue keeps secrets well. Still no word for October.
But I think the cover will surface soon. We just have to wait and see.

^ I'm quite certain, the cast of Nine will be on the cover, Nine is rather big production musical with stellar cast members, something Vogue would definitely be interested in imo.
Vogue usually plan their shoots way ahead for shoots, so I think it is not surprising especially it involves multiple A-list celebrities to book for a shoot


Now, it is whether the pictures will be on the cover of October or the November issue, since the movie opens in theaters only in late November this year.

^ Yes, and Kate, Penelope & Nicole are Vogue favorites so it is very likely for them to have a cover. I'm very excited about Marion! This would be her debut cover for an american fashion publication isn't it?

BTW, I didn't know that Kate Hudson's role is a VOGUE writer.

^So true. I'd be surprised if Vogue didn't use all 4 women for the cover.

Mind you i'm still a little worried that we saw alot of shots of Nicole on her own.
It would be such a wasted opportunity to use only her on the cover and not all 4.
Especially as they're all such big names.

And yes - Marion's first big US fashion cover. She was on the NY Times T Style mag last year...but Vogue is another level all of its own. I really truly hope she makes it to the cover!

P.S I did hear a rumour that Nine was being pushed back from November to December. But I doubt that would change anything at this stage seeing as the October cover would already be printed.
My main theory was just that we usually hear who has the cover a few weeks in advance...but seeing as we heard about the Nine shoot very early in the year - it would be unlikely to make news again - therefore HOPEFULLY meaning that's what we have in store for Oct!

I know it was said when the photos first came about, Nicole looked like she was wearing McQueen, but I think perhaps it's likely they're wearing altered costumes from the film - like Nicole wore for the Moulin Rouge cover, and the Australia cover, so then the fashion wouldn't date as such, or be out of season?

In all of the shots that surfaced Nicole was in that particular dress, and while all reports said the cast of Nine was there, am I right in thinking no photos of any of the others ever cropped up? Just Nicole?

I think the other girls were also there. I think I remember seeing it. But as previously said, Nicole had more photos.

Ah yeah, I can see Penelope and Marion, and someone blocked by Nicole's head. Marion's in current Dior, possibly?

Not surprising, they actually started planning for the September issue in January.

The 4th person is Kate Hudson.
Nicole was also shown photographed solo in the same outfit.
They were all shot by Annie Leibovitz - which also begs the likelihood of a cover.

I personally think there is a huge possibility that only Kidman will get the cover, last year there was a rumor i read, that Michael Patrick King of the SATC, suggested to Wintour that she puts all the girls on the cover, and she shot the idea down immediatley saying the group shots never sell on Vogue. And in the end only SJP got it.

So maybe only Nicole, or one more, after all Wintour collaborated with Marshall before for Chicago, and she put Catherine & Renee on the cover together.I would love them all on the cover, but it seems unlikely.
