The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it's Lara.

If its Lara, it would be a slap on Darias and Raquels faces. She has had like 5 editorials for US Vogue? Daria and Raquel definately have over 40! Trentini is not that much of a favorite anymore.

I do think that Daria is the first in line though.

I don't think it's Daria, Raquel, Doutzen, Karlie or Gisele.

My highest bet is Lara followed by Carol T.

since it is the shape issue and if they are going with a model, i would think they would go with a model that is either into sports or is known to work out/take care of her body. daria is very into sports and is known to work out. doutzen is known to work out.
a model like karlie on the other hand does not fit the right description for a shape issue. she is just tall and skinny - she basically has the "model body", i dont think that would appeal to the general public! caroline just needs to go away.
of course i am a little biased in thinking daria is the PERFECT model for the cover

Well, Doutzen does all the sports line for VS and supports the fuller figure(and has one aswell) in fashion. So I'm counting more on Doutzen than Daria.

Lara's a good candidate for the shape issue too. After all, with the buzz surrounding her right now, she may land the cover. Though I'd like Daria or Doutzen more than Lara on the cover.

It'll come to a point where people will totally expect Daria, then it'll turn out to be Lakshmi.

I bet 20 bucks that it is Gisele shot by Testino for Vogue. Let's think about this. She's a supermodel, she just recently had a baby, and she's already back in modeling shape. I can see the feature in my head now: Gisele in an evening gown swaddling her newborn and interview about her new life as a mommy.

As much as I would love to see Karlie, Lara, or Daria, I do not see Anna putting any of them on the cover. Whenever she puts a model on the cover, it is almost always a model/celebrity, never just a model. Anna always tries to steer clear of what the other Vogues are doing, and she would be following in a certain person's footsteps (*wink, wink* ) by putting Lara or Daria on the cover.

Also, Gisele is a guaranteed money-maker. She would sell triple the amount of issues that Karlie, Lara, or Daria could sell, let's face it.

^You have a point. But let us hope it's not her. I think it's a toss up between Lara and Daria. Although the former has the biggest chance in getting t 'cause she's like everywhere now (US Vogue editorials, Interview cover, etc.). But I am crossing my fingers for Daria. Please, not Gisele.

But Lara still cannot sell as many issues as Gisele or even Natalia and Doutzen will sell.
US Vogie IMo is not in a position to gamble on a possible low selling magazine by having Lara on the cover.

I think US Vogue has at least proved lately that it's not too afraid of going for someone you might not expect. Michelle Williams, Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams.. Granted their all celebrities, but even so. Not the usual choices.

I believe the last cover Gwyneth Paltrow had was the lowest selling issue of that year, so it's not always the case that an unknown makes for a low selling issue. A big name can make for a low selling issue.

My money's on Lara. Mostly because she's not a model come celebrity. You can say Lara Stone to a lot of people without them giving you that "huh?" look.

since it's a model then, i think it might be Gisele as well. i can see her droning about her baby and getting into shape,etc.

for some reason i really don't think it is going to be gisele considering she was very private about her pregnancy. don't they shoot the cover star and editorials a few months before the actual issue comes out (duh)? so if this is so, then she would've either been pregnant or it would have been right after the birth and it was known that she did not take any pictures for a while..

But if it was Gisele and Testino, surely, we would have candids of them shooting. Or at least candids of them entereing photo studios or something. Thats the way it works with models like Gisele/Kate Moss/Naomi. We usually find out about their various shootings because of paparazzi and obsessive fan boards.
