I agree with most of the above. She has a really bad reputation with Vogue and whilst a lot of the team has swapped over, the powers that be will very much have kept that in mind. She has cost them money. She’s only a contributing editor to act as kudos in getting the interviews with people and her own connections. I also do not believe a bestselling issue lies with her fronting it.
This thread is so eager to her to cover the edition, maybe his second issue, maybe the Christmas issue, maybe the anniversary issue... this could go on a long, long time.
Aesthetically I have no issue with Naomi on the cover, she can of course take strong imagery, but do I have any interest in buying something because she’s on the cover? No. That’s why Kate appeared SO much in Alexandra’s day. She delivered the image and she delivered the sales to back that up. The readers liked her, wanted to emulate her style, wanted to be part of that Kate bubble. Naomi doesn’t have that with the public.
All that being said, I’m sure she’ll appear at some point, but I’m not confident she’ll be alone.
