Cover Rumor Thread

It's odd because Cheryl used to be a powerhouse in her heyday. Yet I can't imagine a big edition giving her a cover now. Vogue and Harper's are definitely out of the question, I'm thinking maybe Elle or Marie Claire? In fact I reckon Marie Claire is a definite because they've been her most loyal supporter.

To this day I find it odd that she's managed TWO Vogue covers......

Both Vogue covers were by time she start her career solo, which was massive at beginning and still today had her most accomplish single and had her name connect to Ashley Cole, ex-husband and football player.

Because of her relationship with Ashley Cole she became a version of Princess Diana in the UK. It was absolute madness!! She was in papers every single day/week.

Until today a lot of media writte about her with his surname.

As much as I love Cheryl, I highly doubt if she’ll get a cover.

1. UK Vogue under Alexandra already snubbed her when she came back to the spotlight. When she released her Only Human album, returned to The X Factor, Alex barely gave her the time of the day.

2. Not sure if Edward would lend her his time as well.

The only chance she gets a cover if she has a brand to heavily back her or a very very very persuasive PR team.

Even though I now no longer subscribe to Vogue, they’re still sending me their questionnaires.

A month ago, they were asking about coverlines relating to Dua Lipa.

Today, they’re asking about another set that includes mention of Ricardo Tisci/Burberry, Leila Slimani (novelist), Lady Hale (law) and what seems like the theme of the issue – fashion, film & feminism, with this potential coverline:

“Hollywood’s leading women: Emma Stone, Rosamund Pike, Felicity Jones, Carey Mulligan, Nicole Kidman, Laura Harrier, Gemma Chan, Amma Asante.”

Nothing else mentioned seemed like a stand-out cover choice… although that doesn’t mean it can’t be a model in relation to Burberry.

Probably the Feb Issue, the hollywood issue

Could've sworn someone in this thread mentioned Dua Lipa in regards to a cover.

And no way will all those women be in the magazine without at least one or two on the cover. It's obviously for their February issue again. Question is, will it be sharing covers with W yet again?

Odd line-up because it doesn't include Emma Thompson, who's certain to get at least a nod. Surely.

I will actually cancel my subscription if they do another W collaboration, the last was so horrific!

I would of put my money on February being Gaga for Awards season since it comes out in January.

Or January? Either way, she'll rock up at British Vogue sometime next year.

Amilna Estevão, model, landed November 2018 issue of Vogue Portugal. It's her first vogue, from what I saw online. It came out two more covers.

That potential lineup is yet again the wrong choice for a Hollywood issue, given that nearly none of those women are as of now the front runners in any category. Magazines will probably be missing out on the most important performances like those of Yalitza Aparicio, Glenn Close and Regina King as usual.

I thnk it's too late for Ariana -considering "sweetener" is a flop-, but I guess she's about to release a new album...

It's been a turbulent year for her on the personal front. There was the shock engagement to a certain well-endowed fiance who felt 'proud' when fellow men verbally objectified her, the equally shocking breakup, and the subsequent mental breakdown. On the professional front there's the 'new, mature sound and look' (Edward's words!), which managed to get her two major covers and position her next to the likes of Oprah, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian and Charlize. So yes, a US Vogue cover is highly likely for her now. Ariana has been aching for that for years now. The mere fact that she got her foot in the door with Anna is enough of a triumph. She'll do whatever whatever she can to get it. Even if it means Frankie and his 'throuple' may have to chaffeur Anna around NYC in her towncar.

It will be interesting if she actually gets the cover because she'll be the only pop star other than Adele to book a cover without having a huge fashion brand backing her. I mean, I doubt Reebok would be considered 'fashion' enough for Vogue, but stranger things has happened.

I honestly don’t want to see Ariana on US Vogue. She’s so bland even when she has something somewhat important to say.

She’s yesterday’s news with no fashion sense to back it up! Anna should say no and give her to Glamour mag!! If she wants a young pop star to cover the mag, call up Dua or Haillee Steinfeld

I AM SCREAMING! :rofl::rofl:

Honestly, I've been waiting for her cover -without the ponytail- since "Dangerous woman" or after the Manchester attack but I don't know...

I have said before "Pete's a creep".

I think Dua Lipa has a chance in a year or two; I think she'll become even bigger. But as much as I like Hailee, she never reached that level of stardom. Maybe if she gets a big acting role she will.

Ariana Grande is perfect for the cover for various reasons:

1. Achievements. Undeniable. I’d rather have Ariana than the few artists thrown around here.

2. The marriage drama. Perfect storyline. I can already see the taglines; and

3. She has their ideal demographic in mind. Ariana caters to the youth/teens. US Vogue seems to love to cater to that demographic. I’d rather have her than Kendall, tbh.

She may land on the April cover. Or whenever her new album is to drop

Will Priyanka Chopra get a cover because of her wedding?
