So true. Thats why I think Gigi is more respected in the industry than Kendall. Noticed how aside from all you mentioned, Gigi are also friends with and praise breakout stars and newbies like Fran Summers and Megan Roche in instagram? I think even though a some people don't like her modelling skills but it is her dedication and humbleness that sets her apart from the rest.Kendall is just lazy. She wants to do one big paying job and play around in LA. She started at the same time as Gigi, but Gigi really put herself out there and showed up for everything. Even the opening of an envelope. That's what ultimately turned her into such a good model and this is coming from someone who can't abide her. When you look at Kendall's record so far it's just big name photographers, stylists and editors who keep on booking her. Gigi's on the radar of both the big name and the emerging photographers/stylists.
Elle US March: Gigi
Elle UK March: Michelle Williams
The Biebers?Who covers US Vogue?
Oh god! Im with you. No Demi on US Vogue. PLEASE!Demi Lovato? Why? I really question this. No, please!

I don't even think its about Anna's "faves" - she just does the arithmetic calculation of who will sell before putting someone on the cover. The problem with putting Demi, Ariana etc on the cover is that they appeal to a teenage/twenty-something demographic while I still consider Vogue to be a woman's magazine. Obviously, in my head, the ideal cover subject wouldn't be a celebrity at all.People are always so dramatic about these Vogue covers, as if they actually mean something...they don't. If Anna likes you, you're in. It's really as simple as that.
Each month her fav actresses, singers, athletes, and occasional models are rotated, rinse and repeat. Each month is more forgettable than the last. That's the story of American Vogue for the last decade+. It's about celebrity public relations, not fashion.
That formula worked when people were actually buying magazines, but now they don't. Now all that's left are instagram likes and dead trees.
But I know that's not a realistic expectation to have.
