Cover Rumor Thread

You're all making a valid point, but how about we let Britney do whatever the f she wants for a change? After all, it's what she's been fighting for the entire time.

I'd be happy to see her in Vogue if she feels up for it! But I'm not entirely buying that source to be honest.

I don't like it when the EIC of a magazine seems so eager to engage on camera with the celebrities they feature and seek the spotlight for themselves. It's giving fame-hungry starf*cker. Edward is not the biggest offender (Laura Brown, for instance, is much worse) but there's no reason he should be on the cover of magazines or chatting up starlets for sponsored content with a diamond company. Anna has done it sometimes too, with Meryl and Amy Schumer videos, though because she *is* a star in her own right at this point, it feels more warranted. I really admire Samira Nasr, Amy Astley, and others who don't exploit their celebrity connections and positions of power in order to engage in this type of self-promotion.

I just assumed that in Laura Brown's case interviewing celebrities was about saving cash and streamlining the process in order to get the subject to say "yes". Not sure it's about being fame hungry.

There's a funny sendup in last weeks' Succession episode about the types of softball interviews that are regularly depicted inside Instyle etc.

^I'm not to fall for it. You're not going to make me want to watch Succession :ninja:

... but there's no reason he should be on the cover of magazines ...

I commented the same when he appeared on the cover of Attitude magazine (and that was still early in his new role). Wasnt well received on here, lol.
Quite frankly, I don't like it when editors/photographers/stylists shove themselves in the spotlight. Not only do I think it's distasteful, but it blurs public opinion on their actual work. Do you like InStyle because of Laura's quirky girl next door personality (she'd prob correct me, 'I prefer WOMAN next door'), or her editing skills?
We've always had star editors, but they used to be in the minority. This time it's almost a prerequisite.

Big Vogue cover loading for Emily in Paris. Not American Vogue!

Vogue France? Having such a mainstream celebrity promoting their latest project would be a radical departure from what Vogue Paris used to be (maybe they want that?)...I don't know how I would feel about it.

Seems like something the French would love to hate. To be fair, they’re right, it’s complete trash, but I enjoy it anyway.

^I can't stand it, reminds me too much of SATC which I also can't stand.
It's not Vogue France, thankfully. Such a cover would be the final straw for the VP fans on here, lol. Neither British Vogue.

The cover was styled by Dena.

Damn it, that’s exactly why I was hoping it was France.

I hate Dena, she’s terrible. I think it’s Australia, Spain or Italia.

I was about to read Eugénie Trochu to filth. Ranting about how Paris doesn't reflect the whole of France, going as far as to change the name of a magazine which has been on the go for over 100 years - then only to give up the cover to a show which boasts all the cliché's in which Paris has to offer.

:lol::lol::lol:

The edition is Australia, as pointed out by Caioherrero
