^^^ What??? Drop a Black model…?!?!? How dare you. (Naomi may be perma-insufferable these days, but she’s still a very capable model when she’s shot by talent that isn’t intimated by her— as she’s shown here. And frankly, I'd take an icon like Naomi shot by those two anytime, anyday, anywhere to someone like Adut shot by Tyler. Naomi and those two have at least proven they’ve created fantastic HF imagery at their best. And for that-- and despite whatever they’ve become these days, is still worthy of respect and admiration.) Anyway, I can even tolerate Cher… even if she was and is never HF. It’s nice to see women from different generations shot together.
The only genuinely beautiful shot with the Amber shoot is the sole B&W one. All the other shots just resemble random test shots. That’s the one constance with these new photographers: It’s one blind killer shot they’ve stumbled into amongst a lot of pure fillers. None of them are capable of producing a solid story from start to finish. And again, that cheap, flat, dim lighting that makes everything feel like signage from an outlet store.
