I've never really bee a huge fan of Nick Knight's AI photography, and this isn't changing my mind.
And one again, and louder for the people in the back, Miley Cyrus is not photogenic, or interesting, whether her mouth is open or closed.
^I do. Nick Knight is too technical a photographer that somehow I feel like he never captures a feeling. Whatever I loved about his past images must've come from Marc Ascoli.
I'm tired of Miley but she is often unrecognisable here so it's fine. I see her doing good work in terms of posing. Nick's style brings to mind his 90s The Face magazine output, I'm nostalgic and here for it.
I always want her to close her mouth, but then when she does I go "oh wait yeah no that doesn't work either". Facially she ranges between I just passed gas but hopefully no one smells it to sullen child in a Grimes kind of way.
Not the best I've seen from Nick Knight, Miley Cyrus or CR Fashion Book but I do like the beauty styling of the first cover, the lighting, and the stare. I'm able to appreciate how different the approach was to profiling a celebrity - it's not safe, stale or boring.
