Some snowboarding attire... I made the bandana. It's damaged and has black patches of the same material sewn on. :ninja:

edit: you can see the details if you click on the pic.

Seth--your customizations are v.v. cool!
I AM SCARED OF YOU!!!

:woot:

Here's my jacket I just completed-I did a sort decopage technique with the lace and pasted each bit in an overlapping approach and I added a bit of tassle on the sleeve....that was actually kind of difficult because I couldn't get them to fall the right way so I went through that process three or four times before I got it the way I wanted.

Awesome:woot: , Scott! Would u mind sharing how u paste the laces? Can we have a close up, pls?

^just some normal fabric paste that dries clear. You could barely even tell on closer inspection that I used paste as most the black and texture from the lace masqued it.

Another top I just completed. Please click for larger pic :) Do you guys think anyone would buy this if I made a web shop?

Scott, thats awesome. Gives me some ideas. I wonder how it looks with someone in it?

You ever looked at the website that sold Mary-Kate's holey shirts? I think it was markandestel.com? If those can sell, then I think yours would, too. And your pics and clothes look cool to boot.

I know a few people earlier in this thread were talking about dyeing shoes. I'm hoping to dye some distressed leather boots and I was wondering whether leather dye, suede/nubuck dye or leather paint would work best. I'd guess suede/nubuck would work well, as nubuck is pretty much distressed leather, or would leather dye work best? Presumably leather paint will only work on a smooth surface. Has anyone got any experience with dyeing distressed leathers?

i don't understand paul...
it they are distressed...then won't dying them ruin them by making them look 'new'......

Well the colour on them is fairly even, its the texture that is more 'distressed'. Worn, sanded patches and a general scuffed look. Will dyeing change that? I've never dyed shoes before so I really don't know. They are only cheap though, its a bit of an experiment.

A moss-grown jacket. Scott! :woot:
Well done Seth, I like the pics too.

I just sewed more than 4 cms for the first time in my life. Each time I would chicken out. Now I finally caught hold of the sewing-machine and showed it who's the boss :muscles::p I took a trashy old shirt and made an etui (is that an English word? something you put your pencils etc in) out of it.

This is how I live yes, no props. Cleaning up is quite needless
