haha yes it is EXTREMELY traditional, far from my usual designs. A little boy at the wedding actually asked 'mommy, is she floating?', I nearly died - soo cute.

I will go have a look at that thread :)

very cute...
i'm afraid that thread has been a little neglected lately...maybe you can get it going again by inspiring people with your designs...... :flower:

Thx runner :flower:

I wish I could read it. I just found 2 more sweaters with holes. I think I'm going to use one to make patches to cover the holes in the others....

you're welcome purechris

i'm doing something similar right now ...i like it so far...but i'm not sure what the next step is...it's a work in progress... ^_^ :rolleyes:
doe that woman look a little nutty to you?...i like what she's wearing ...but the make up makes her look something like a cartoon...imho...

one question runner...what's the bee all about in the right corner?... :huh:

my pleasure
the bee is just what she bought about 15 years ago.

having a pair of my husbands junya watanabe trousers altered to fit me - cropped on the legs & lowered on the waist (so they sit on my hips). They are lovely - navy with red & white pin stripes. Can't wait to see them finished.

evexa, your gown is beautiful! it's such a fairytale princess gown. ^_^ :heart:

methinks maybe we need to start up a home sewing thread. :innocent:

oh that sounds so good. let us know how they turn out. :flower: I am always finding mens trousers at charity/thrift shops that I'd love to try and customise. cropping is quite a cool idea. the waistline bit is so tricky though. I always end up mucking up whatever it is I'm trying to re-do the waistline for.

yes well I hope it turns out ok - the tailor seemed pretty non-phased by what I was asking for so fingers crossed it looks ok. I don't know yet how much its going to cost though. :blink: Mens trouser shapes are good for girls this season with all the slouchy Baleniaga inspired ones around.

I'll wear them with either heels or knee boots & a warm navy cashmere sweater. Its chilly today! ;)

i'll let you know how they turn out - and how much it costs. :P

I cut off the turtleneck off of my Gaultier top, not it's just a top. I did not like the neck, it looked like I'm wearing a colorful dandy scarf.

Awful and wonderful at the same time I think - she was the original anti-housewife :) Which is funny because I like to cook and sew (although I won't clean even if you PAY me).

Wow! Evexa, your dress is gorgeous and you were probably "floating on air" since it was your wedding day :flower:

My latest customisation ispired by Marni:
[attachmentid=33402]
[attachmentid=33403]

I found a few holes in a sweater last week and used ultrasuede circles in gold and black to patch them. 2 small ones on the right shoulder and 2 larger ones on the front near the bottom to continue the pattern. I really want to get some purple on there to....

new so sorry if anyone has sed this before.

trousers into skirts theirs loads of different ways you can do it im forever doing it because the bottoms of my trousers always rip and fray because i love wearing them long.

also mens tees fitted to fit ladies taking it in and creating different necks like v-necks and slash necks and if its a jersy knit you dont need to hem you can leave it and it wont fray. also taking off the sleeves i love that look for some reason. or just shorten them. kind of get that 'rock chick look' hate using that term but you know what i mean. best tested before you do jus get a cheap tee and see wot you can do. maybes get a harley davidson tee and change it to fit. if your more adverterous make some lapels.

just some ideas love sharing!
