Cynthia Nixon's Wedding Photo Revealed

[After Cynthia Nixon revealed that she and Christine Marinoni tied the knot in New York City on Sunday, the newlyweds have released their wedding photo.

Posing on a rooftop in the Big Apple, Nixon, 46, wore a flowing, pale green gown by Carolina Herrera and carried a bouquet of white peonies. Marinoni, 45, wore a suit with a darker green tie for the ceremony.

The couple got engaged in 2009, but waited to marry until it was legal in New York state, which happened last summer.
The Sex and the City actress and the education activist have a 1 ½-year-old son named Max together.
Nixon also has two children from her previous relationship with photographer Danny Mozes.

What Was Your Favorite Tv Show As A Child?
I Dream of Jeannie, Get Smart and Batman – it was a Who’s Who of amazing actors playing the villains.
Why Has Tv Overtaken Film As The Most Exciting Entertainment Medium?
A couple of decades ago, some of [today’s] shows would have been movies, no question. But there isn’t the same appetite for making an interesting, literate film. When I was told Killing Reagan was for the National Geographic [channel], I thought, ‘Don’t they make panda movies and stuff?’ But it has the budget and the viewership.
Which Show Has Changed The Game For Actresses?
I think Girls is really important. When sex was bad on Sex and the City, it was funny. And the worse it was, the funnier it was. But when sex is bad on Girls, it can be really hard to watch, and it’s sometimes abusive, and it’s important to show that. Plus, in Satc we had to be thin and look great all the time; in Girls, they have permission to be more real and less airbrushed.
Which Of Your Roles Has Been The Most Pivotal?
Sex and the City. In terms of everything, but especially in how it made me view myself and how other people viewed me. I’d always worked happily without focusing much on the way I looked, so it was like a whole undiscovered country.
How Would You Review Killing Reagan?
How politics affected Ronald and Nancy’s love story, and how their love story affected politics.
What Would The Tv Show Of Your Life And Its Tagline Be?
Cynthia – “I’ve been around for a long time, but you haven’t heard the last of me.”
