D la Repubblica ‘The Big D’ Volume #4 2024 by Karim Sadli

And still he is almost banned from the industry...he is just doing some projects here and there....anyone have an update about his case?

Going back to the editorials...my biggest problem is the styling...underwhelming and lazy...Mikael Jansson and his team would have been perfect for this....
Weber was always on his own way: remember Conde Nast director told everyone to recall about his contracts with CN once they would try to contribute with new CR fashion book. And Steven Klein, Mert and Marcus, Terry Richardson, Mario Sorrenti, Mario Testino, Craig Mcdean, David Sims - everyone from Carine collaborators in Vogue Paris refused, however they didn`t have exclusive contracts. Bruce Weber and Karl Lagerfeld still remained with Carine and Bruce commented that he is a glownup boy so he would decide by himself.
He works quite much these days for Self service, he made a large portfolio with Ida and Sacha for Study magazine, contribute for Icon quite often and sometimes for holiday. And he has a big retrospective somewhere in Europe, i guess he earns much with syndication though, by the way all canceled authors such as Testino, Richardson are still available for syndication on artpartner, the irony is that artpartner is the agency of Mario Testino`s brother, and Mario lead him in the busieness as his agent, and now artpartner is the biggest and most powerful agency while Mario is afforded to make some lectures...

Its not bad. Definetely a Bruce Weber vibe. Rianne's shot in the motorbike in a white bathingsuit, quite similar to Bruce shot of Brooke Shields for Life magazine. And the whole playing in the sea... Bruce for Pet Shop Boys too.
And the night shots with a Testino vibe, those ones with Gisele and Frankie Rayder around in Italy, for american Vogue in the 90s

Weber was a celebration of life and hedonism. There was no room for the languid affectation

Bruce just did a full 10+ page editorial for Study magazine, fairly recently founded by Christopher Niquet, fashion journalist/ Zac Posen's ex and had a book out few years ago called Models Matter, all about the fashion model with each an accompanied picture and their signature that he'd collected over the years with a preface by Steven Meisel (who shot him twice for VI, once for a cover with Karen Elson)
