Daily Exercise

I left out all the sounds of the birds, winds, insects, 18 wheelers, SUVs, Harleys, Canada geese, and all other imaginable road traffic music healthy and existing and strong. It all helps and makes me go faster...

4 mile run (pulled a muscle in my foot towards the end and had to limp then crawl back for the last two blocks in the dark)

:doh::ninja:-_-

I have to get to school at 7:40am on weekdays, so I wake up at 6:00 to go jogging for about 2 miles, walk about 1. I usually run fairly slowly, but on weekends I pick up the pace... fastest I can run is about a 7 minute mile, hoping to bring that time down.

Sun. Dec. 28 - 11:30am
16.92 miles
16.7 mph avg
31.3 mph max
1:00:48

Took 3 days off after this disaster. Felt awful all the way.

Thurs, 1 Jan 2009

65 minutes Elliptical
30 minutes strength training, concentrating on upper body today

I've worked out every day this week except 12/31 (gym closed before I was off work) and feel GREAT!

65 min Elliptical
30 mins Strength ~ Lower Body

My goal is 120 lbs by 12/31/2009...only 45 pounds to go! I'm sick of this extra weight and the health issues that have come along with it at the age of 28.

Thurs. Jan. 1 - 2:30pm
45.67 miles road bike
19 mph avg
31.8 mph max
2:23:41

MY thighs are burning from wearing heels for seven hours on New Year's Eve and walking up and down the stairs at least half a dozen times for a frickin' CD (that should have burned some calories). I did something to neck again and feel like I got hit by a truck so I only did a 30 minute walk on the treadmill today. Has anyone read the book "Skinny b*tch"?? Any thoughts on it? I'm halfway through it.....

That isn't a stupid question. It is an important question.

Choosing a course with hills and heavy traffic usually makes things interesting.

Also, I cadence through various songs in my head at various mental paces impossible to call up at will through any external digital or analog device carried on the fly.

Remember listening to digitally compressed advertisements on the radio? We have all heard them--impossibly fast talking sales pitches. Well, our own brains do the same thing when we run through memories.

Various compositions I concentrate on during a ride may be a string of what I heard that morning on the radio in addition to songs I liked from many years ago. I was never comfortable wearing headphones of any type on the run or on the bike. I tried it a couple of times and it just sucked. I am more comfortable carrying as little as possible.

On top of all that is the computer on the bike. It indicates average speed, maximum speed, and overall distance. A few glances at this device during a ride gives me a very good idea if I am having a good day or not.

thank you very much! :flower:

Sat / 3 Jan 09
Hatha Yoga
Lifted weights - Shoulders Biceps

Sun / 4 Jan 09
Weights - Chest, Triceps and then Abs

Gotta cut back on the cardio and pump more iron 'cos I'm losing a little too much muscle mass. :(

Oh I know what you mean, I've gotten so skinny because I've been doing cardio for an hour every day, and its been intense cardio where I could wring out the sweat from my shirt! Literally! Also the sauna afterwards makes me sweat a ton.

But my scale keeps saying that I'm at the same weight, give or take a few pounds, and it doesnt get smaller, so at least I have a good amount of muscle mass built up.

My goal for this year is to get much more defined pecs. ^_^

^Yeah, I spent bulk of December kickboxing and spinning.. and I realised that I kinda shrunk a little too much! So it's off to gulping down more protein (ew!) and going heavy at the gym.

LTEC - what's your height/weight like??

I think a lot of people put too much emphasis on weight.. when they should be looking at fat/muscle percentage. :)

My goal for this year is to get more defined arms and a 4 pack! (not even asking for 6 here!)

I'm 6'0, and 190. I would like ideally to be about 20 pounds thinner, but I dont have a stocky/heavy build at all, I'm quite lean and very athletic and have a lot of muscle in my lower body from lots of running and doing squats, leg presses, lunges, etc.

My friend who I go to the gym with is 5'11 and 175 pounds which I dont understand, since we're so close in proportions, but I have more muscle than him so, I dont mind.
