What do protein shakes do for the body and how do they help the body...plus would it be bad if I just went on protein shake diet!!!

Now that uni has started again, I make sure I attend at least one cardio class at the gym.

Been keeping it up really well.

Oh and I am getting very flexible now with my yoga classes.

Wow, you must all be so fit!
Yesterday I did an hour on the crosstrainer.
Today: its my day off & Ive got a really bad hangover :(

40 minute power(ish) walk with my brother; i find that its the best exercise i do other than walking up the escalator on the way to work

Yoga/treadmill/90 mins. I start culinary school tomorrow and have to switch my exercise routine to nighttime again.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this thread but have enjoyed reading it. It's very motivating. My routine is usually 1 hour of pilates at my gym twice a week and running whenever I make the time. Today I ran on the mountain in Montreal for 30 minutes.
I wish I was more motivated to wake up in the morning to exercise since I often work late.

Oh geez, at my college they offer at least 5 group classes a day at our rec center. Let me tell you, I LOVE the bodysculpting class. They offer it twice a week and I hate when I have to miss it.
The instructor is amazing and really promotes a healthy balance and lifestyle.
So, I do that and Zumba twice a week also.
Does anyone else do this? Its a combination of dance so its good cardio.

I'm so jealous; at my school you have to pay (a lot) for classes at the gym.

This morning: 1 hr aqua aerobics; I've rarely been so physically exhausted!! What a workout.

Yesterday: 30 mins HIIT on the cross trainer
Today: Cycle class & weights tonight
Its finally getting lighter in the morning which makes the 5am start so much easier! Bring on summer :)

Well last year you had to pay $45 per semester, unlimited classes. But, we got a new fitness director and she believes in free physical education so they policy changed and they added more classes. It's about the only good thing at my school

40 min power walk and crunches to come! I just watched Janet Jackson on Oprah..so inspiring lol

Sunday - Ran 6 miles
Monday - Ran 4 miles
Today - hitting the gym for weight lifting and an hour of cardio (not sure what yet).

Has anyone here ever had runner's toe (black toe)? If you have, you'll know what I'm talking about.

marcy248: yes, I've had many black toes! I used to run cross-country and track and until recently was very good about keeping up the running.

Don't worry about the toenail, it will grow back. But consider changing socks - your socks might be too tight. WrightSock makes double layered anklets that are not pricey and are great and not too snug. Also, make sure your shoes are not too tight. Even with all of this, if you do alot of running, your toes and feet will feel it.

Hope that helps.

Mon - pilates
Today - nothing, about 25 minutes walking

im in uni and trying to get fairly regimented when it comes to my exercise routine since everything else is so hectic!

Sun-- 1 hr. yoga
Mon-- 20 mins of cardio (jog on treadmill or elliptical)
Tues-- crunches, lunges, squats, other strengthening moves
Wed-- 20 mins cardio
Thurs-- 1 hr. yoga
Fri-- 20 mins cardio
Sat-- strengthening moves
...and i try to walk everywhere/take the stairs
Exercise makes me HAPPY!! :)

i have recently begun Bikram yoga... 90 min sessions daily.. plus a 45 min power walk most days if i can fit it in...

Thanks for that info. It's good to know I'm not alone!!. I think my shoes are fine, but my socks might be a little too tight. Also I've been running a lot more lately. I'm just going to get some dark nailpolish and cover it up!

Yesterday - 30 minutes elliptical machine, 20 minutes stationary bike, 10 minutes sprinting on treadmill, stretches and 100 crunches.
