^ Oh man, that sounds like a blast. It's so much fun to run with a team, and absolutely, eating after an incredible workout is a thrill.
Today's cheesy moment: I want to go to soccer camp. It kills me that adults no longer get to muck about in sports camps, flirt with counselors, jabber in cabins and play like crazy. Yes, I realize I'm supposed to have outgrown these desires, but damn, soccer camp a la Travelling Pants? Burritos, Baja, California, and a game all day? Sign me up, that sounds amazing.
kare2711, about the elliptical --- there's no correct way to do it, but you will work slightly different muscles depending on how you run. I actually tend to run almost solely on my toes on the elliptical... Clearly all those Nike Free commercials are getting to me. <g> There have been a crop of studies recently about how good it is for you to run on your toes, but I think running flat footed/on your toes is just a trend... Mix it up, run hard and fast and you'll be doing something good for your body.
