Daisy Lowe

thanks for posting!
ladyflash, how do you like the spread?

I'm glad it's not a really over-photoshopped lying on fur rugs in front of the fireplace cliche Playboy type thing. It's more kind of fun and tongue-in-cheek and has this whole "LOL IM NAKED AND ITS AWESOME" vibe, I love it tbh

As far as Playboy goes this definitely is one of there most tasteful spreads, its cheeky and fun it looks like they just caught her in a series of candid moments, so pretty in the jeanshorts shot, and the cover is pretty awesome.:D

Wowza. The playboy spread looks a little bit like something that would have been in Vogue Paris when Carine but of course it would have been more artistic and tasteful. I dont know why she did Playboy. Playboy is a tasteless magazine but she does look hot.

This playboy shoot is just weird. I will never understand why women feel the need to ever show their vagina to the world in print whether its artistic or not. But playboy whether it features slightly artistic pictures or greased up barbies does not represent art. It represents an out of date sexual revolution headed by an old geezer that quite frankly from the latest tabloid headings is as unhappy, confused and sexually stunted as the rest of the world.
I always feel like women who are in these things are just shouting "IM SEXY.. YOU KNOW. I HAVE SEX LOTS AND LOTS BECAUSE IM SO SEXY".
But the truth is everyone has sex and can be sexy to someone. Mystery is always more sexy, a quick wank with a magazine may be enjoyed by the world of men but what else does it make you? Why would you ever want to be that.

Lol I have the feeling this forum is not the place to discuss Playboy, people have illusions of high taste and grandeur.

(P.S. I hope your thoughts also spread to the woman in your icon, who's vagina I have ~artistically seen on several ocassions.)

You sound like a very bitter feminist. I really doubt Daisy felt the need to get her cooch out. Maybe offered her a lot of money, maybe she thought it would be fun, maybe she doesn't care what people see. You can't really know until you hear it from her.

I disagree. She doesn't sound like a bitter feminist at all. And perhaps this isn't the best place to discuss this, but female nudity and sexuality are over-exposed these days. Like all sex comes from women. Men can be sexy too, you know! Yet we hardly see bare chests and men's ***es (such a shame) in the media. I don't think that they should cover up, but this shoot imo is just tasteless and hardly flattering.

i like the fact that daisy does not take herself too darn seriously and that she does what she feels like doing.
she's young and clearly got the looks

i agree. it's refreshing to hear this... i feel like that, especially when it's someone a little bit more well-known doing it. i tend to assume that they need the money a little less than someone starting from the bottom. "HI HELLO I HAVE t*ts AND ***" okay girl sit down

Well I guess we're alone but I'm with you. It's her body, and if she doesn't mind people looking at it, who are we to judge?

What does bother me about it is the way she seems confused over whether or not she's a "role model". In one interview she'll say she doesn't want to get photographed being drunk because she has 14 year old fans talking to her on twitter, then the next moment she's in Playboy.

I don't think she quite knows how to present herself, as the down-to-earth girl-next-door or the crazy exhibitionist sex kitten. (I mean obviously she's a mix of the two, which is interesting, I just wonder if she should pursue one or the other).

I am a feminist i would be horrified to meet a woman who wasn't but the term doesn't make one bitter. Once again it is a term grouped in with magazines like playboy. If you dont sexually expose yourself you must be a bitter prude. Im sure my boyfriend would disagree.
I also have seen kate mosses vagina, having her as an avatar does not make her my icon.. i find her beautiful as i do daisy. I just dont need to see naked women exposed in a way that i THINK only men enjoy and women are being encouraged to think is liberating. But hey, her mum was a heroin addict and her friends have been photographed naked and she started out her career half naked for a lingerie brand so i can't judge her decisions as her up bringing is totally different to mine. I am however allowed to disapprove of magazines that i think are out dated in their thinking. That having your shaved vagina, which was made popular from p*rn*gr*phy, happily on show. But yes.. not the place to dicuss this. My mistake the kim kardashian generation sadly cant see themselves clearly

I love Tony Kelly´s work and Daisy Lowe, so full of life, but for some reason I don´t get this pictorial, it seems to me a mere photoshoot instead of somethig more "complex", that Kelly has done before.
