Daria Werbowy

#8464 Those pics especially in the first set amazed me. She looks different and, of course, gorgeous. She is one of the most interesting models indeed. Thanks again, for sharing! :flower:

I don't think she's physically changed either. It's really not her fault that Lancome decided to airbrush the crap out of her face. If you want to hire someone with a face like Daria's, why take away the life from her features just to please the mainstream audience?

Because the mainstream audience are the ones that buy Lancome and by hiring Daria they also catch on to the "high fashion" crown by having a high fashion model.

Umm....me neither.... I just sort of meant that if they wanted to hire a face that the mainstream audience would like, they would be better off with some blank-faced, all-american smiley girl but instead...they went for Daria whose features are more striking then anything. If they hired her for the uniqueness of her face, why spend so much time making her look so emotionless and blank? ^_^

Flash back of Daria in her early days

I still think that she's as pretty now than she used to be (even if she seems less enjoy the Fashion show).

For Lancome, I agree with TheglassAngel. But it's not just Daria who is airbrushed on cosmetics ads. Look at Anna Sui Heather's ad, or Jessica's Chanel ads.

I buy a magazine with Beyoncé on the cover (Instyle) and she was so airbrushed and God knows that this girl doesn't need to be airbrushed!!! It's frustrated me a little bit, because if a girl like Beyoncé needs to be retouched... imagine us (especially me). When someone smile... it's normal to have bags under the eyes and wrinkles so please stop correcting it (or uncorrecting it IMO).

^ He means that by employing Daria - the airbrushed Daria can appeal to a mainstream audience whilst she, airbrushed or not will appeal to the fashion savvy market. Hence, Lancome is able to attract the broadest market possible...................

I think she's as beautiful as ever, but's she weary of the business. She doesn't have as much fun anymore, she looks tired of it.
She may still be a great professional, but that spontaneous aura she used to have, that made her so fresh, is gone; for now anyway.
