I do wish him the best. He's definitely not someone I want to see expelled from the industry. The timing at Versace was just extremely unfortunate. Donatella's resignation, the Prada acquisition, his experience still limited. It just wasn't meant to be. I'd sure as hell rather see Dario at Loewe instead of Proenza Schouler!

Fabulous pictures; however, upon closer inspection, the clothes are truly tragic. With that being said, I like that he had the confidence to go this route with the campaign. It shows he has taste, even though the collection really didn’t reflect that. His initial offering was unfortunate, but the campaign displays a glimmer of hope. It makes you wonder what else he could have done for the brand. We’ll never know.

The way Prada group couldn't have scrapped the campaign because it had been already shot prior to the finalization of the acqusition LOL They said, money have been wasted already, let's try to take advantage of it.

It would be ironic for the collection to have a commercial success.
I wonder if he got to design Prefall at least.
I think that Prada should have at least let him present the FW2026 collection because they are going to sit a season out and potential create confusion depending on whether they decide to communicate or not.

Mulier’s first collection will likely be resort and menswear even though I suspect he is going to debut in September.

I can’t be mad at Prada firing him though. He was never part of the Versace plan. He made the decision to leave MiuMiu on his own.
Depending on where he land next, we will see if taking that risk and having such a rollercoaster type of year was worthy of it all.

Yes, he was already working on pre-fall prior to being axed. From what I’m told, they scrapped everything & had the studio completely start from scratch.

I imagine he’s humiliated and barely holding on to whatever shred of his self respect and dignity he can find. Good. Deserves it for disrespecting Gianni Versace - one of the greatest couturiers of all time.

For us it’s just social media, but for unemployed creatives like him it’s basically LinkedIn. He’s just updating his portfolio and letting everyone know he’s still active on the platform with the highest visibility.

feel the same the older version is with dept and context and better way better composition the dario version feels messy and rushed and no dept in concept other than archive remake also the clothes are messy blob of color remind me of the prada ad i dislike.

gianna looked at the original paintings of the roman greek bath houses and it also matched the fluid metal dresses and the man in leather are like soldiers.
the matl dresses look like wet clothes of the bath house paintings etc there is more than meets the eye on first degree level fierce pop level.

the concept of the ad was not development with the collection in mind its ended up of looking like bunch of ......... at a after milan after party ..fill in the blanks ....

i doubt that dario or his team went to the original inspiration of the gianni versace ad concepts of mimicking old painting of roman and greek times.
again its another netflix/IG level of comprehension proof,shortcut way to create fashion image for hype..not done perfectly but good enough for 2 seconds of brain space attetionspan.

LOL It's not like the Game of Thrones universe, where Dario is kind of a king who never was. I mean, just one collection and people are hailing him as a genius that fashion has been craving for years? I do admire the way he’s managed to turn his very short tenure into an opportunity to perfect his CV with somebody else’s money . The campaign is quite good in spite of the “1980s Club Monaco styled on Calle Ochoa hustlers” clothes.

Dario in not even one year gave a series of confusing and intriguing teasers, one of the most controversial debut shows and maybe the most spectacular campaign before disappearing.

This is fashion gold, and many houses would kill to have that type of relevance.
