Designers for UNIQLO

Well, I went at 12 and there was certainly no line--the store was pretty calm, even. I got everything I wanted, although I suspect some of it will go back. It's really a cute collection! The smalls and x-smalls were going fast...:ninja:

I was very underwhelmed by the Plohkov stuff though, which was selling out even faster than the P Lim.
i think we must have been in the store at the same time or just missed one another...^_^...

what did you get?

i got the vest in both colours...
everything else fit horribly or was that super stiff scratchy linen..(yuck)
i really loved the tie waist dress---but i thought the waist should have been cheated up slightly...it just wasn't as flattering as it could have been...
good from the front- not so much from the side or back...:ninja:
unless you have absolutely no hips...
:ermm:...
what are you going to wear the shorts with?...
that bow just seemed to add bulk imo...so i skipped them ...

my fave thing of the plokhov group was the vest- which was sold out in everything except large..the polo was cute too though...
i don't know-none if it really struck me as special, but i guess guy stuff is a bit boring to me at times...
i mean- a nylon jacket rarely excites me in terms of great design......

*not since the glory days of helumt lang anyway- and while plokhov has his niche...he is NO helmut...:P

i am underwhelmed with the lim stuff ive seen in photos. just looks a bit bland for my taste. the green dress with the knots is kinda nice. the linen items looks majorly wrinkly.

apparently the terry richardson tee shirts are going to be put out this weekend. i hope i see the gareth pugh shirt as well.

The Lim stuff is a lot cuter than I expected. The plaid items were adorable, especially the bubble skirt with the mock paperbag waist. I got the grey knotted dress and it's so breezey and flattering and it has side seam pockets. The Plockhov stuff was average and it wasn't really moving. People were scooping up five of each Lim item to buy and the Plockhov stuff was barely touched. I went back today and the Lim stuff is pretty well picked through.

what sought of prices do they have? i hope it's affordable for a student/traveller's budget. i can't wait to check out the store this week!

I bought this today..I love it!

I actually loved the collection of 3.1 Phillip Lim. I wore the black linen dress when I was in hong kong, and it wasn`t as bad as i thought (just like softgrey, I thought it will itchy!). The white dress with the bows (infront of the dress) is lovely.

GVGC...something like that...the collection is quite alright. I bought the silk dress in midnight blue...and it looks great. I recommend the jersey dress...I called the dress with wings. Its actually wearable and a great piece for a night out. I also bought the silk blouse...and the linen jackets. Most of the collection`s material is very thin (blouse, dress, jackets) but overall it was a smart buy!

lol, softgrey, our paths will cross one of these days, no doubt.

Almost everything I got is going back. I got the trapeze dress in two sizes, but neither one really works--just unflattering on me. I also got the plaid dress, which looks very cute on, but I'm not sure how I would wear it....a bit long for cropped pants, a bit short for nothing. Have to think about that one...The navy vest I will probably keep.
Also that big green t, which is a lovely color, but just isn't me....I don't know what I was thinking, actually.

The tie-waist dress fit me well, but I didn't like the stiff fabric. I skipped the shorts....the ones I was referring to were the Plohkov ones, for Fuuma.

agree about the men's stuff...pretty dull and disappointing. Damn right, he is no Helmut!

Damn, I was hoping to get a couple of the Plohkov pieces, oh well.

the gvgv items should be on sale now or friday. ive seen a few of the pieces in magazines already.

i returned both vests...
the knot stuck out on either side of my neck and just looked ridiculous imo...

so nevermind...
that was a huge disappoinment....:ermm:...

will check out the gvgv...

the gvgv stuff is not there yet, I went there yesterday and there was nothing,
all the Coak stuff is gone too.
there was nothing i wanted to buy (not that im in the market for anything as i have too much stuff already i dont need)
what i need are suits that im gonna have to make myself.
I think one saleperson said they wont get anything from the designer collaborations until next week.

I returned everything I got.
I think I am coming to terms with the fact that these collaborations are always a disappointment for me.

loden dager will team up with Uniqlo to put together a ten-piece capsule collection in the spring....

they don't seem to have a big project like DIP this season.
but instead they tried to enrich their A/W strength of the cashmere collection with ad campaign entitled "new basics 100% cashmere"
and prepared over 30 pieces and 40 colors.
besides uniqlo design studio, adam jones, lutz & patmos and keita maruyama did their interpretation of basic cashmere clothing.
