Wtf?! So will they kill HC and produce department store ready RTW? License the name? To whom? It's such a specific name and brand so directly linked to its founder, what will they do without him? No leather goods/accessories business to piggyback on...this just makes no sense.

Agreed but let's not pretend European conglomerates/firms have been saints either. LVMH ousted Monsieur de Givenchy, Valentino was pushed aside from his own house and the list goes on. Whether it's across the Atlantic or on the Old Continent the pattern is disturbingly familiar, founders are always the first to be discarded once profit takes priority.
