Designers Switching Houses & Moving to New Brands

The Face asked Rick Owens this question and I figured TFS would appreciate it or at least find it relevant to what's going on.

What is your thought on the current state of fashion with all the musical chairs of designers at the moment moving between houses given that you've been such kind of a fixture?

Well, makes my position more unique, I guess. It makes makes me wince a little bit at all that of that talent toyed with. Somebody like Christian Lacroix, to be just tossed out. I mean, there people that don't deserve to be treated that way, and I mean, yeah, Lacroix was a while ago but that's just an example of somebody being used and thrown out, and discarded of such value. It's a shame.

I thought that was rather smart of him to throw shades without being obvious about the `talent being used and thrown out` part.

Much as I love Daniel Lee to be continue working, does his aesthetic fits with what Jil Sander the designer was doing before? his BV maybe, but certainly not his Burberry...
I love his BV and I love his Burberry and I am pretty sure I will love his JS, but guess we will have to see for now...
