Designers Switching Houses & Moving to New Brands

^ Are they turning into a car dealership?
its like they stopped giving a flying f*** for this show:flower:
Take this, not just with a grain of salt but rather an ENTIRE BUCKET OF SALT, but I was told that allegedly Hermès Haute Couture could have JG at the helm. I'm kind of dubious because I'm not sure how he echoes the world of Hermès, but let's see?
oh i am SAT!!!!

I feel like Hermès could afford to create a template of presentation for themselves that is not tied to the usual format of one creative director for men and women and rather operate in the way of top-tier furniture brands where several designers may release small ranges that may exist for a longer period than the usual duration of sales.

They are already a house that habe their own exclusive distribution network and an air of timeless investment - Why not conceive the fashion in a similar way as the bags then?

Finger crossed! I hope he won't do Margiela Artisanal at Hermes but to do Galliano at the brand is contrary to what Nadege is doing right now. Maybe Nadege will be out at that time.

^John, Lola. Not Jean-Paul :flower:
I misread. I don’t give no validity to it then.
At Hermes, they have always been about the brand being bigger than the designer. If Margiela and JPG managed to follow the modus operandi, I don’t think John would.

And they tends to hire French speaking designers.

I know it’s a discussion people find uncomfortable but weirdly at Chanel and Hermes, in Paris they really enjoy that culture of having not that much intermediary people between the Ateliers and the creatives. So it would be a surprise to me really if JG was considered

I can see Rabih Kayrouz do the Couture at Hermes. He is very much loved by the Parisian scene, Haute Bourgeoisie and things like that.

^ Sorry for the confusion guys

I wonder when all the announcements are going to start because pretty much everyone has signed now. If it's going to be right after the end of PFW or if they're going to wait for April... September is going to be wild ! Dior, Loewe, Gucci, Jil Sander...

Makes me wonder if they're going to put someone at Bally or not. No one really checks for them, even at tFS, but I enjoyed what Belotti did. At least he tried to shake it up. I don't think it got posted in the Campaign section (I don't really know how to do post photos anymore but if anyone wants to try  ) but I just saw they released their SS25 campaign by Jack Pierson and found some images really nice and quite fresh (side gossip but friends in Milan told me he has an ex-Bottega guy with him at the image). Always felt like Belotti tried to stand out but the suits probably want it to go back to being another Tod's . What a mess :ninjas:, from the Rhude guy, to now, to where? Curious if they're going to go for yet another random name... :innocent: Considering they've been bought recently by the people who own Escada (Switzerland’s Bally sold to owner of Escada ) and their new CEO is from Philipp Plein ( Bally names Ennio Fontana as new CEO ) , best of luck :innocent:

Milan TFSers, any info? :ninjas:
