FRONT/CENTER: SOFIA COPPOLA IN MARC JACOBS BEAUTY

full.jpg

Makeup Artist and Marc Jacobs Beauty Product Consultant Diane Kendal created Coppola’s MET Gala look using Marc Jacobs Beauty.

THE LOOK
“We wanted to do an understated, cool, and casual take on the Marc Jacobs Beauty Vamp eye,” says Kendal, referring to the smoky blue-purple eye that Edie Campbell wears in the Marc Jacobs Beauty campaign image. “I decided it would be a perfect complement to her young and cool outfit.”

THE ADAPTATION
“After lining the eyes with Ro(cocoa) Highliner, I swept the lightest tone of The Vamp palette from the lash line to the brow bone. I used the medium grey shade in the crease of the eye and then applied it over the Ro(cocoa) to intensify it. Next, I popped a touch of the dark black/grey into the outer corner of the eye for a smoky effect. I curled the lashes and used Lash Lifter mascara to ensure they would stay curled and lifted all night.”

SOFIA’S CHOICES
“Sofia kept the liner and the lipstick, which has just a touch more color than her actual lip color. She loved the Genius Gel Foundation for its light coverage and sustainability. These products can be used alone with a bit of mascara for a wearable daytime look.” HOLLY SIEGEL
