that's how you pronounce it as a last name...
The word Löwe, Loewe can refer to several things:
[...]
Loewe, luxury brand, part of LVMH; named after Heinrich Rossmann-Loewe (Enrique Loewe)
[...]

EdanChrysler said:According to the wonderful Wikipedia:
Assuming Herr Rossman-Loewe is so-named because he is German (and that "Loewe" here is indeed of German origin), then there is no argument that it would be pronounced leuh-vuh, the "euh" in "leuh" because pronounced like the "-ur" in "fur" except without the ending "r" sounding and with a little pursing of the lips.
Think about the "oeu" in "hors d'oeuvres". It's virtually the same sound. If you aren't sure, do it this way - say "ahhhhh" and then move your lips into a position as if to say "oh".

I tried prounouncing it and I ended up saying something like "lover" (with a "h" instead of "r" at the end). That can't be right?

EdanChrysler said:Almost, except for the fact that the "loe-" (also written as "lö-") in LOEWE is pronounced with the lips pursed, unlike the "luh" (or in the case of some accents, "lah") of the "lo-" in English "lover".
