Pronunciation question

Question: how do you pronounce Biba?

[s·shee·ah·par·ell·ee]?

the first s is almost unnoticeable. and the stress is on the ell

louis vuitton: lou-ee voo-ee-tahn

Actually it's lou-ee vee-tohn Vuitton ending in a nasal "n."

And the Vui of Vuitton is pronounced "vee," the same as "qui" (who) is pronounced "kee" etc. etc.

Sorry, I'm a French major I couldn't help myself.

I've always been under the impression that schiaperelli is pronounced ski-ah-per-elli because it's italian and not german.....

I think I read that some one emailed Proenza Schouler and it is SKOOLER. Anna W. gets it wrong sometimes if you can believe it ;)

^ Yes, that's always how I've heard Schiaparelli pronounced. I'm pretty much positive it's ski-ah-per-elli.

I think the boys at proenza accept both ways. Again it's a difference between italian and german.

Mmm... I always pronouced that as Le-i ( the R is between R and L ) as Japanese don't really pronouced "R"
