Is that you modeling Tricot? You wear clothes so well! Those jackets look quite good especially with what you had on.

Yeah, it´s indeed me trying on the clothes - actually, the boys that did the showroom were a little too tall to fit some of the samples (except from those outfits they were wearing in the show), so I decided to wear them myself for the pictures.

I have had my own doubts on how to pull off these clothes without being dressed in an all too obvious "costume"-manner, so on that day I decided to dress in what I am always wearing - black jeans, tank, converse and just a belt as an accent - all in neutral colours. I think most of these items work once you´ve done a certain amount of redux - that is, taking away the evening shirts, the cummerbunds, the slicked hair and probably leaving the tails at home.

I absolutely enjoyed the collection this time, almost no stylist tricks going on, all the details subtly executed, a lot of hand finishes. As long as this can be executed in terms of production, I think this is a nice play with couture techniques, but not in the way that he did it in previous times ago when that just meant, crazy, embellished showpieces for his rock star fans.

Vogue has now picked up on the rumours about Slimane's job shift to Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche as well.

I agree Slimane's getting rather torpid with Dior Homme but for God's sake, please don't fire Stefano Pilati, the man was clearly put on this planet to follow in Yves' footsteps.

tricotineacetat, what type of knits did they have in the showroom? I mean, I counted about 3 on the runway and that just doesn't make for a well rounded collection. I know you mentioned a gimicky printed tee in the other post (I actually like how it sounds, but wouldn't be willing to pay Dior price for it, hahaha), but what else did they produce?

Interesting facts there - Hedi and Raf used to be lovers. How ironic!

And wonderful news about Hedi staying. I was so convince that he is leaving especially listening to the show song lyrics.

HEDI AND RAF WERE NEVER LOVERS!
raf is straight. there were rumors that hedi had a thing for raf
but again that's only a rumor. unless you know for a fact
that they are lovers i don't think it's right to be saying this
sort of thing as fact.

Thanks for the pics. I really like the last look, that shirt and bow tie combo is one of my must-haves for this fall/winter season.

...in the first pic is he just wearing two of the large black bow ties?

Then may I suggest you read back post #459 and decide to comment me on that!

This is exciting indeed, much more wearable styling than on the runway...

so with all these couture techniques and hand finishes is this collection a lot more expensive than the previous collections?
if the "chanel" jacket is arround the same price as an actual chanel jacket i'd rarteh get a chanel one

Interesting pictures, I like the last one particularly. Actually much better than what I would have imagined...Thanks AlexN.

Not at all, this is going to be both consistant with previous season prices and construction.

The so-called Chanel-esque jacket will retail for less than 1000 Euros, by the way.

well hedi slimane has to go I need to more new fashion so I will buy more Dior homme .. but it 's too classic too bad ..want something new...something I want to buy

Wow, that last photo is seriously nice. The coat is sweet!

I personally don't think I could pull off that bow tie sort of look, but that coat can easily be dressed up or down. Considering I'm moving away from graphic tees and towards more button-ups when I dress up, it could be a nice change.

What chanel-esque jacket are people referring to?

-A

There is a picture of it a page or two back. It is gray with black outlining. It was featured on the runway with the two tone jeans. I am really suprised at the price...less than 1000 euros is MUCH less than I would have expected.

Tricot...do you know the price pf any of the bow ties yet?
