Dior Homme - posting requires reading thread rules!

I just looked on Eluxury and didn't find any trace of Dior Homme. Am I missing something, or is everything sold out (not that I'd buy any of it)?

The Dior Homme shopping thread is now re-opened. I am size 38/39 chest. Would a size large in DH be the right size for me for a sweater? I usually take a medium in most ranges, but don't have any DH clothes and actually have never tried any on. I am aware that DH is very slim fitting. My preference is for things to be quite slim fitting but not so that every bump and imperfection shows through!

You views, as always, will be appreciated.

I think you'll be fine with L in a sweater. As long as you don't have bulging muscles, you'll be ok.

Hmmm. No bulging muscles that's for sure. There's a nice camel sweater on brownsfashion.com with a torn neckline that I'm thinking about. Only have in large. Dunno though...

Oh, yes sir, I completely forgot. Size 34 jeans have an outside circumference of 27cm. I don't think it's tight, just snug. The should be bunched up a little.
BTW, I think you should stay true to your side in Dior jeans; because they are supposed to sit low (even though they are not really cut low) the waist is very generous. I wear size 30-32 depending on the designer, and Dior 30 fit me perfectly.

Or, also, I don't mean to disappoint you, but this season's Dior quality went down down. I would definitely want to handle something before I buy. His previous season's quality was so much better.

yeah i am very slim and i wear size 30 for dior jeans is very fit and a bit low waist but not much !

That's less than 7 inches accross on one side, which is far too narrow for me! Also, your comments on quality concern me. This is good, I'm going off the idea. Also also, I saw a chap at the gym at lunchtime, being shown around. Looked like a student, and was wearing a Dior Homme type outfit. Made me think (1) I'm too old for that look - at least 10 years older than the guy, (2) why pay £££$$$ to look like a student (I've kind of always thought that about Dior), and (3) his jeans - which looked exactly like the DH show jeans - were much much too tight for me to be comfortable wearing.

Aaaahhh, that's better. Over it now I think. Back to Junya jackets...

Oops, 47cm, I'm sorry, it was a type-o!

Well, Junya is especially good this season. And just for the record my best fitting jeans are by Junya. Wouldn't exchange them for anyting.

Now I'm confused a little. So the hem of the leg of the jeans is about 23 centimetres across one side? That means they measure about 11 inches or so across one side? That's not too wide at all. Damn it.

yes, that is correct. it's not wide, but it's not tight either, at least not for me.

Dior Homme jeans have multiple cuts for each design as well... last season the ripped jeans came in a 19 cm and 21 cm leg width. Also the rise of the pants vary as well. I'd either call up a knowledgable salesman or contact the NYC Dior to sort out these issues if you plan on ordering over the phone.

Ah, nice to know some other guys out there dig the Dior.

Yea, I would say that Hedi is one of the few designers that deserve the attention they get. Too bad he works for LVMH.

Thanks for that. I think I really need to see them in person as it were, so I'd better not order over the phone. They're not exactly cheap.

I'm gonna see if I can go to one maybe this weekend, i think i remember meister mentioning there being one in michigan.

Johnny, I just saw the sweater at brownsfashion...its alright, don't know if I would pay 200 pounds for it though. The hooded sweatshirt is quite interesting though, but again definitely not worth that price.
