I apologize for the huge pictures!
Thanks in advance.

Jun,

The first pair (grey with silver lame from SS'05 - essentially the grey version of the blue sparkle jeans) was around £240. The second pair (bleu clair from Strip, though it should be made in Japan, lightly distressed, no trreatment) was slightly less if i recall correctly, about £230 or so.

Do you guys not think that the distressing on those jeans, esp the second pair, is really rubbish? It's completely non-naturalistic. The front stresses are too horizontal and uniform in colour contrast. The back knee stresses are actually halfway down the calf muscle!

Not if you're seven feet tall!

Yeah, it's weird.

Jun, if you seriously got them that cheap, you should definitely resell them. That will be a huge profit. I'm jealous.

new Dior Homme thread  no wonder it never said that there were no new msg's.. boo.. old thread was good!

necklace looks cool, Mouko :)

Nice necklace but prefer the gold version!!

All new Dior thread? hmmmmm...just like the DH now, some legacy lost!

I am myself a fashion thief.
I look at what Dior Homme, raf Simons, Cosmic Wonder is doing and go to thrift stores and imitate what they're doing and apply my own oersonal style. Better and more fun than going to the store and pay a ridiculous amount of money for it. I'm sure some of you can afford it, but I can't. Hahahaha.

I'm with you man! (If I had the money I'd buy the real thing though.) Oh well, I sell cupcakes for a living, what can you expect? ;)

Even if I had the money I wouldn't buy it!... I mean, a few pieces perhaps... but I wouldnt go crazy shopping. I love grabbing that sewing machine and use it until the poor thing starts crying, hahaha. :D
CAPiTA, lets go clubbing.

PS. Cupcakes rule!

You think so? okay, I should. Besides, the sizes are too big :p
I'm getting more Dior stuffs for really cheap prices from a certain country where Dior Homme isn't popular (yet) so I think I should consider setting up an eBay shop and compete with Diabro soon lol

That's a cool idea. Be sure to let us know What's your ebay id when you do.

What Dior Homme stuffs do you currently have?

Cool man, if you ever pick up some lurex jeans in blue or grey in a 33-34, I'll take 'em off your hands :p

That´s not correct, these grey jeans just have a treatment on the surface of the denim, it´s not woven into the canvas. It´s practically sprayed/painted on top of the distressed denim

The thought of that continually frustrates me because I'd love to have a grey version of my blue lurex. Ugh, that sucks. And they're still pretty expensive just for a glitter treatment that'll eventually come off! Why couldn't they just make grey and blue lurex jeans and not do any glitter treatment jeans? What a waste. And this season's tees are glitter-treated, not lurex, correct? That seems like an even worse idea than glitter-treated jeans. And the tees are pretty expensive, if I recall. Why not buy a cheaper plain DH tee and throw glitter on it periodically?

You are probably right about this, Alex, I personally didn´t buy either of these for myself but we have them in store, I swear I have NEVER seen those blue jeans with Lurex thread woven into the denim when I was at the S/S 2005 showroom, I can imagine they are very nice...

Next season has some pretty nice jeans though... remember the metallic suit section from Follow Me? There was this one outfit in a pearl-ish silver and they´ve got a pair of jeans in almost identically the same colour (probably a little less shiny)... I think they will look gorgeous with anything black and white. Not so fond of the gold version, though... :yuk:

And they dare charge the same price as the blue lame sparkle jeans for them?!

good morning, Winston.

I had always assumed the grey glitter jeans was basically a grey version of the blue lurex...upon closer inspection, I guess not. Not really a fan of either to be honest. The grey glitter jeans got carried over and are $5,500 at Joyce. Talk about a rip off.

I'm gonna assume you meant $500. :p $5,500 would really be a ripoff.

And actually, I guess the grey were cheaper since the true blue lurex were around $550 in the States, if I recall. I paid a slightly marked-up Japanese cost of $569 from Diabro. Ridiculous, but I honestly don't regret a penny of it. The fit is wonderful, the streaky blue/grey wash is gorgeous, the blue tone is wonderfully deep and rich, and the creasing/fading is done in perfect amounts. And then there's the silver thread... :D True denim artwork, if you ask me.

Alex : Those white Dior sneakers you posted in the wishlist thread.... are they still available in the DH stores?

5,500 HKD :D

Nope, they're from Strip (s/s 04).

In case anyone else is wondering which ones we're talking about...
