Don't forget to add 15% of taxes, aren't you glad to be living in the US?

I think I'm going to vomit now.

around $500
did you even look at the receipt.

i saw a DH bracelet that looked like that a few months ago on ebay, and i was going to buy it, but i was broke at the time.

I see, you're talking about the grey glitter jeans, right?

I tried that too and my hands had some glitters after tried. I wanna buy a pair but my case is the price was too high or the size was too big. But it looks grey on me with a black wool sweater. :woot:

I asked my girl to buy me a raw 19cm one in italy for me yesterday, say eur$179. but i'm always afraid the raw denim will fade with repeated use. 'cuz my levi's red did.

Do you put wallet, coins, cell in the pockets?

^My pockets are too tight to put anyhting but change and keys in. The pockets have loosened over time, but when I first got them they would not budge. And don't worry about the fading. I have had mine two years now and have experienced no such problem. Thay are really a staple in my wardrobe.

sometimes i wear dior jeans baggy because i lost a lot of weight i think i've gone down to a 27 from a 31 so if i wear old my 31 or 30 jeans i'll put stuff in the pockets because you cant tell. i dunno if anyone else here wears dior jeans baggy though they're meant to be skinny.

I always wanna buy a new belt, i'm using the Comme des garcons white suede belt with thich pink thread now. Looks cool and cost me less, around USD$70 after 50% off.

I used to see a DH belt from 05 A/W, which was the runway piece (I hope you'll understand which) selling at USD175 in Hong Kong, but it was sold in the next day I went to the shop...so regret that I didn't buy it.

I think that wearing Dior jeans baggy can look great. However, I think you have to be thin to pull it off. I don't think a size 30 wearing a 34 would be a pleasant sight.

I lost weight from size 32 to 29 in 4 months. and my waxed jeans in size 30 seems a bit loose now too. not bad but the thigh is a bit too loose for me.

i dont think I will go thru the trouble to get to Joyce Warehouse.

i dont even know where that address is!! (i dont live in HK)

So where do you put your wallet and cell? 'cuz i don't like to bring a bag, so esp. in summer, i put everything in my jeans pockets.
I even buy a Comme wallet which is very thin, (1cm in height) to fit my dior jeans.

^ I am not exactly sure what the glitter was on top of. I think it was just a very light denim with tons of glitter glued on. The glitter and the fabric were not one is what I am trying to get at. The glitter was individual individual specs, not a layer of fabric. The New York store only had one pair, a 28, which was hell squeezing myself into. When the SA took them out of the closet everyone around just about gasped as if I was an alien to even be trying them on.

Cannot be washed? That's just plain ridiculous. Why would anyone pay 430 GBP for that?!

I also love how they say "will become distressed with use". Basically saying that yes, the glitter is going to fall off and get all over everything you own.

Waste of money.

The ad campaign is very pretty though. I still don't "get" the "rabbit ear" blazer or the blazer with the super short front. They just don't look good to me. The contrast between the skinny suspenders and the slim black suit though, I really like. Not sure why Hedi went with the button down collar though... that's odd to me. Not as crisp and clean with the lines as before.

is "rabbit ear" the long front and cropped back one?
The cropped front one looks like those traditional tux with slim size only..

Seriously, $760 for unwashable jeans with a basically constantly-falling-apart treatment is a joke. They MUST have been laughing their ***es off when they came up with those.

Drexl, congrats on the belt. I had the bracelet a while ago, but sold it on eBay because it was WAY harder to pull off than I expected. I felt like it was just really feminine on me. Those beads are so much more sparkly in real life than in pictures. And I don't understand why that belt would have retailed for that much. The beads are just lightweight plastic. Can someone explain this??? I'm sure the belt is a totally different story than the bracelet, wearability-wise. Man, it'd look awesome with the destroyed jeans! :woot:

Don't think you got that of a nice deal. Don't think that belt retailed for anymore than 600-700usd, although I'm not totally sure.
A year ago it was on Ebay with a BIN for a mere 350usd. I kinda regret a little, but not too much, that I didn't buy it though.

Are you at least drycleaning your jeans?

I would say most of the appeal of raw denim is a custom look, with 'artful fading'. the longer you go without washing, the more pronounced the contrast will be.

If you want to keep a darkwash look, wear them for a week or so (to get them stretched/fitted) do a cold 'bathtub soak' to minimize abrasion. It should stay pretty dark, and after a few of them, the dyes will settle, and you'll be safe(r) :)
