And...I think these are gonna sell like hotcakes among teen girls.

I agree!! We all know how popular the Dior Girly collection was with teens and all the fakes that came out of it.

Im just surprised that the same stuff is being used over and over again but with different prints and colors. :o

If someone is wearing something simply to show off a logo/brand, their priorities are totally skewed imo. :innocent: Clothes are made to cover our nakedness and also to make us look good, not to prove how much money we can spend.

amen to that!!!

yep

nuiko and i were trying to be a bit less...blunt...with our description of who this was targeted to, however  :innocent:

That's where I'm going to have to disagree with you Stylgurrl. People with money love to show off they have money. The more money you have, the more you're going to want to show off.

You are right ChinaLove. Many people with money enjoy flaunting it. I personally think that is very tacky though. When I look for clothing I want comfortable, well-fitting items that make me feel good. The brand is of little consequence. 99% of my clothes come from thrift shops-I get cool and unique things and support charities to boot. B)

The clothing is BAD... but a couple of the purses I don't find sooo bad...

i was trying to be sarcastic :P

if jil sander starts using logos like that I will cry for seven years

the japanese OLs and gyaru will flip over it...naturally

Of course....these logo pieces aren't exactly creative works....low cost and high return...it's the sales of these logo items for the masses that brings in the $$$ and fund the other designs, which actually aren't as popular and don't have nearly the high rates of return that these logo bags and accessories do.

Agreed, but there are plenty or other brands who use strong branding and logo's who manage to bring much more refined products for 'the masses', Gucci, Prada etc etc

I think its almost insulting to consumers to think they want this kind of thing, of course there are still people who will buy it but to me it looks like they are going for such short term gains, imagine the damage product like this is doing to the Dior brand . . .

Oh boy
Remember this one?: "Elegance does not mean being noticed, it means being remembered"
Not only will you be noticed with these TACKY prints, people will also remember you as a TACKY person

Thats a personal opiniun that many people wouldn't agree with, not a fact . . .

Is it just me or do others see this cuteish, overtly logo'ed pink/white collection trend as targeting an rapidly expanding Chinese/Asian market?
In 30 years time..I have a feeling western "taste" is not going to be what the major fashion houses (or the money men pulling the strings behind them) are going to cater to.
I could be wrong..what do you think?

This scared me to death!!

I like the bags though, but the rest is just...Simple Life
And the ads are virtually the same as the Girly Dior line ads...

I thought it was obvious and funny. Some people on this forum don't really get sarcasm, though.

This is hideous crap just like all the other hideous, trendy, soon-to-be-knocked-off Dior crap. That is absolutely the worst print I've ever seen. Dior is surely rolling in his grave. The Dior label is dead, save Dior Homme.

IMHO Dior was at its best from the 60s to the 80s...Marc Bohan did great stuff back then.
