Does This Work? Get Fashion Feedback Here.

^^ hi cwp4877, I would agree with the person who stated that the trousers are too loose. the shirt looks pretty good but could be more fitted in my opinion. the jacket and trousers look as if they are 2 or more sizes too large for you which overwhelms your frame. I hope this helps, if you need more advice please keep experimenting with different sizes and cuts and post what you are unsure of. cheers.

cwp - I think its good to either have loose on top/fitted on bottom or fitted on top/loose on bottom. So try more fitted trousers, or keep the trousers and have a more fitted shirt?

Thank you for Strokesfan2P , Cheap and Chic's comment, and I've another look,
The one-button boiled wool blazer is by Comme des Garcons 2004 fall&winter collection and the T-shirt is by Comme des Garcons 1990 fall&winter collection. I am thin, the blazer can make me look fatter, what do you think about the look?

i think that - as a general rule...
you are supposed to unbutton your blazer when you sit...;)

cwp4877, if you want me to be honest, the outfit you posted in #374 is an average look. Its not ugly, but I wouldn't give you a second look.

cwp I would have liked the blazer much better with a white tee and some slim fit raw dark denim.

Tom: keep everything the way it is except put your shirt collar back inside your jacket. The tie inside the shirt is cool, but spread out the collar less so it covers the tie a little, makes it a cool detail people notice only up close instead of being too out there.

What would you think if a black male (me) wore this 3/4 coat around campus?

Hey,

I'm wondering what you would think if you saw a black male wearing this coat in a college atmosphere (that is, not business/corporate shirt and tie environment). That is, do you think I would be seen as out of place wearing it?

I'm really looking for thoughts on this. I already wear the coat, now I'm trying to think about whether I shouldn't anymore, or if I should continue. Please don't tell me to just be who I am, or something like that, I'm looking for opinions specifically on what you would think.

Well here in Europe a lot of college men wear such coats, especially with jeans. I don´t understand what´s the big deal. I really like your choice.

Definetily wear it - it looks smart. More smarter than what I expect a lot of guys at college to wear. Keep it up!

just because other people dress like trash doesnt you mean you have to. i say wear it.

I love that Coat!!!!!!!! WEAR IT is all I can say it looks fabulous! Very cool, chic but not overdone!

I think you should wear the coat as it looks so smart - I'm sure you'll look great in it.
There's nothing wrong with standing out from the crowd in a good way ;)

However, I think you should also consider if you'll feel awkward wearing it too..because if anything makes you feel uncomfortable, it just wouldn't work. :flower:

Looks like a great coat! I'd probably admire it if someone walked by with it, definitely keep wearing it.

it's really basic and classic...
why would it be out of place anywhere on anyone?...

i don't see what the issue is really...
...

The way you dress can subconsciously effect the way your professors grade you. So the smarter, the better.

I think you would look nicer than a lot of other guys at college, which is not a bad thing, but you wouldn't look overdone. Like others said, it's a classic piece. I would say most definitely keep wearing it.
