Will a short black/white houndstooth skirt work with ruby-colored opaques? Like black turtleneck, skirt, knee-high black boots, then ruby tights just for a pop of color? Or should I just come to senses and stick to plain black opaques?

I need help choosing a few "perfect black skirts". One preferably to transfer from winter to Spring, and a few that can be seasonless.

It depends of your body time and your legs, I have boyish body so I'd chose:
DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSON EMLA SKIRT -I was thinking of it my self and I will wear it with fitted top and platform. like the outfit here #3455

I don't want to buy a new dress for prom, so I thought about either wearing the silk dress or a simple LBD.
Would the silk dress look ok with the shoes? I'm not too fond of the dress anymore so it's hard for me to judge...
I'd be grateful for some quick answers because I'll have to decide whether to get the shoes or not in until Friday
